LOL, I forgot about the overlooked control interface of MW2 days...

Yes, they not only have an entry for the Phoenix controller and the original Thrustmaster Mk1, they have virtual goggle diagrams.

Joystick. MW4: Mercs was the original reason I picked up a joystick at 9 years ago.

You forgot to put both as an option. When I played MW2 & 3 I used a stick in my left and mouse in my right hand.

-Stick had a hat which controlled head movement
-Stick itself controlled legs (Forward/back for throttle, L/R to turn)
-Mouse controlled torso (L/R twist, lean forward/back)

All my key functions could be handled by the stick/mouse buttons of the day (Thrustmaster Pro) with less used functions on the keyboard. I felt a part of a complex machine with this setup and was quite good at it.
I really hope I can set up my controls like that again.

I'm going mouse + keyboard. Just ordered a logitec g9x mouse. First time I've spent more then $10-15 on a mouse :P

I did look into joysticks, and I may eventually try it out. But it seems like you get a better product for $60 with a mouse then a joystick, and a mouse in my mind will allow better performance. Of course, a joystick would be more fun as it gives you that extra simulation feel, which is why I may try it out. But for now, I didn't want to waste $30-60 on a crappy joystick, and wasn't ready to plop $100+ down on a decent one, let alone $200 on a good one.

The joystick replaces both the mouse and keyboard for me as it has several axis's it can turn on. I can walk to the left, turn to the right, activate jump jets and fire and more all with one hand. I might just try hooking up an XBOX controller. Mouse=look, no movement. I hate using the keyboard for movement and it isn't the analog experience I love. I'll still have it there for the more advanced feature when I need it though.

Definitely gonna start out with the mouse/keyboard combo. But will try a joystick/keybaord config later on.

I'll use a joystick I almost specifically bought for this game. Why? Because playing with a joystick is way, way more fun. I'm gladly willing to sacrifice a bit of performance for the sheer enjoyment of using a stick.

I have a good friend who uses a stick and a mouse. Ambidextrous *******. ::grumble::

I think I am going to opt for no KB+M or Jstick, it will be touch screen all the way for me, do you think MWO will support it?

http://www.oneworldt...duct.html?pid=9

the 32" should do well.

Just touch a target and it is shot at, it is the ultimate in twitch. Multiple targets just touch with both hands Pew, Pew, both shot. I am excited. I will dominate all. ^_^

So you are going to play with two joysticks? That also have about half the movement the pots allow?

If the game was singleplayer, i would use my joystick but in a multiplayer game where precision is the key, i'm gonna go with the mouse.

RAT 7 mouse and Nostromo N52te

Lower end joysticks are just not accurate enough.

In a FPS, equally skilled players, the mouse and keyboard setup will always beat the joystick/gamepad setup for accuracy and reflexes.

It all depends on how well the "maps" work....To do battle with a "H.O.T.A.S and STICK" will make it feel so more real...Lights out headphones on stick in one had and pushing down on my throttle...top hat "TARGET" stick twist "TARGET LOCKED" MFDS....all weapons FIRE..TARGET DESTROYED.....I think you know what is best for playing but for "That feeling" well the STICK wins....
