That being said, the CN9-D is one of the most ridiculous engine caps in the game. It's like giving a Locust 10 missile ballistic hardpoints.

I feel bad for the Awesomes and Highlanders for their pitiful engine caps. Then there's the sub-250 engine mechs that shouldn't suffer (some BJs, some Vindicators).

Then again, I'm sure our balance overlord plays those mechs... right, right... riiiiight?

The Quickdraw was the better part of the deal ironically, ontop of the scaling changes (when it was oversized for way too effing long).

Forgive me for using the unholy grail of meta compypasta, but if we go by Gman's guide...

Only 4 of the 18 builds even use the maximum engines. 11 of the 18 use engines below 275. So really, what good would raising the engine cap do when the vast majority of builds already don't take advantage of the current engine cap? The Centurion has limited hardpoints, it usually can't afford to spend much tonnage on an engine because it needs to actually be able to kill things at some point. A faster Centurion is only worse at killing things, it's not like the Crab or Enforcer which can boat 5-6 lasers.
