C-SPLs are super heat efficient though. 6 damage - 2,85 heat on a 9SPL Nova. That means a Nova with 20 DHS can sustain 8.1 DPS. It you swap the TC for another DHS, you get 8.4 DPS.

How much DPS can a Griffin-3M sustain with 4xSRM4+A ? 8.3 DPS. Oh snap! Seems like a SPL Nova is more heat efficient.

And what about a 5xSRM+A Stormcrow? 8.9 sustained DPS. Better, but not by much. And, you can miss your target entirely, while it's pretty much impossible to miss with SPLs in a brawl.

but even spl's have a long beam duration, and spl's will run hot quickly, then dps is very low. + the spls build needs more facetime than a fire and forget srm build. that twists and shoots. And the NVA cannot hide sections like a griffin can. The griffin is still the better choice. And the srm is more heatefficient than the SPL's. So all in all thes emechs are rather even if they ply differently, and they are rather much a fair setup.

For PUGging, if every Clanner brings Streakcrow it would make Clans on average win more I believe.
