Seriously, PGI, you are ******* clueless at game design.

You know why it takes me longer than 2 minutes to rejoin after your game client crashes? Because I bought all your Mech Packs and your ******** game client pointlessly resyncs every Mech I own every time I join, save anything, change anything, or try to reconnect to a match.

What a great way to punish your best customers. But screw it, I'm not buying any more Mech Packs until you fix this crap.

This client crash crap is annoying. For the life of me, I don't understand why they code things the way that they do or why, after 4 years, it still crashes randomly.

WOT does the same thing as MW:O but I don't understand why, when I hit my "load MWO" button, I have to see a screen that reads PLAY only to have to go through 10 seconds of company adds just so that I can log in and hit PLAY again. THEN, I go through 10 seconds of LOADING only to see a pop-up of stuff that I already saw on the original PLAY/PATCH screen. If I've D/Ced, for any of a myriad of reasons that has nothing to do we me - I have yet to ever drop a game in the 16 years of on-line gaming from Alt-Tabbing in any other product than MW:O, I now get to click on Quick Play/Faction Play only to then have to mouse over and click yet another option beyond that button so that I can maybe rejoin the game out of which the client just dumped me. How does any of that make sense?

Game has been disconnecting me just as the map loads for several days now - every single time.
Dumped back to mechlab with the message "disconnected from server". Same for both US and Euro servers.
However the client is still connected, and there are no issues with my internet connection.

God knows how many of these disconnect penalties I've incurred, and the option to rejoin is greyed out every time too, not that it would make a difference since disconnect occurs as the map is loading...

I feel your pain.

I know they mentioned optimizing the load times for people with massive inventories in a recent town hall, lets hope it comes sooner than later.

Remember, Russ intends PGI to be the Mechwarrior license holder for at least another decade!

Maybe your comment would have made sense if I thought I was the only one who had bought a lot of Mechs.

But as it'd be stupid of me to think that, I guess it's actually your comment that makes no sense.

Much like claiming victim in your OP. It happens to everyone. You should direct your rage on behalf of everyone, not just acting like a self entitled victim.

It was unclear from your previous post whether you were being asinine or just self-righteous.

Apparently, it was both.

When I uninstalled the game it warned me that if I don't come back in two minutes and tell all my friends to join MWO that my state would burn down, my dog would run away, Trump/Hillary would become president, and that they'd make the Zeus bigger.

Jesus Christ people. YOU SHOULD LISTEN.

THEY KNOW EVERYTHING. PAUL HAS COMMUNICATED WITH THE ALMIGHTY AND KNOWS WHAT IS RIGHT AND JUST IN THE UNIVERSE.

Spoiler

EVERYTHING EXCEPT MY DOG RUNNING AWAY HAS COME TO PASS. WE MUST FEAR AND RESPECT OUR OVERLORDS. FOR WHILE IT MAY SEEM THEY ARE ACTING AGAINST US, THEY WORK IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS.

Well I said that P.G.I were dumb when they said they were introducing this, it should never have been added

They still have this belief that they are as good as Wargamming.net when it comes to stability, when they fail rather hard, they have been and remain by far the most unstable internet game I have ever played.

Everquest with its windup dial up connections had more stability back in the 80's

It's a feature.

If PGI would ever actually playtest their game, and figure out how long it takes to log into it AND rejoin the match.. they'd figure it out.

That assumes... that PGI plays their own game.
