Those high mounts though! This thing would be a brutal 50 tonner.
In all honesty I'd like to see all the mechs in the game pretty much equally, but if I had to choose I'd pick:
Black Lanner
Starslayer (because MC2)
Hollander (may not work with timeline but whatevs)
And while I'm dreaming I'd like to see the Scorpion and Goliath...

Templar with the light gauses and X pulses would be an instant preorder for me.
FAFNIR!
SUNDER!
COUGAR!

- Stinger - one of the three most common 'mechs anywhere, it needs to be in the game despite being doomed in MWO mechanics.
- Wasp - one of the other three most common 'mechs anywhere (with the Locust), it also needs to be in the game despite being almost as doomed as the Stinger.
- Valkyrie - a signature Davion light, it should be in the game, and can share parts with the Wasp/Stinger/Phoenix Hawk with a little scaling. It will also be doomed by MWO game mechanics and will suck.
- Crusader - as badly as they implemented the Archer, I expect the Crusader to also suck. But it's a trooper heavy 'mech common in the arsenals of every state in the Inner Sphere, and needs to be in the game. And to not suck, but let's not be unrealistic.
I'd also like to see the Hatchetman (and Axman), but they'd have to implement melee, and that'll take 1-3 years.
I'd also like the Scorpion and Goliath, because they're cool 'mechs, but PGI will never implement quads (though they didn't have to be asses about it).
Assassin, Clint, Whitworth, Dervish, and Vulcan would also be welcome.
There isn't much post 3025 that's interesting, but the Penetrator has great history. The Gunslinger, Devastator, and Tempest are OK too.
NB: A perfectly good 'mech in Battletech being a deathtrap in MWO is an issue with MWO's implementation, and not the fault of the chassis or a reason to exclude it from the game.

Flea
Cougar
Hellhound/ Conjurer and the other Hellhound from MW 4 that should be renamed. Pit/Abyss Hound/ Wolf maybe?

Valkyrie
Raptor
Thug
Berserker
Talos
Deimos
Fafnir
Piranha (max MG madness, sure I'll get it!)
Vulture MK II (the one with chin hardpoints)
Viking
The Community and PGI could pool together to make up logical and/ or workable variants if any of them fall short of the required 3 mechs to master and vote for the best ( Psssy! I love the Enforcer 5P and Panther 10P ballistic FTW!) .
Unless they totally revamp or ditch the skill three and the requirments to have 3 that is.

HGR:
Range: 180m/390m/600m
Damage: 25/20/10
Heat:2
Ammo/ton:4
Weight:18
Crits:11
iHGR
Range: 570m
Damage: 22
Heat:2
Ammo/Ton:4
Weight:20
Crits:11
Those are the TT stats for the (improved) Heavy Gauss Rifle, most of the Fafnir variants pack two of them.... I mean there is power creep, then there is power sprint.....

So there are a grand total of four mechs left in the game that I would, personally, be willing to plop money down on. Assuming it isn't overpriced
- Fire Moth.
- Pouncer
- Stalking Spider
- Nova Cat

Introduced in 2510, the Chameleon was the premier training mech for light and medium pilots. It wasn't usually used on the battlefield, but it was one of the most common mechs and it's sexy as heck, but that might just be me...

The Fafnir uses a Vlar 300 series engine, just like the Atlas. the RoF on the (i)HGR is the same as every other weapon in TT, X damage in 10 seconds (a shooting turn in TT). It would be up to PGI to determin how far it could twist, but looking at the below picture:

Makes it look like it has greater twist range than a Dire Wolf...

Or, take the top 10 most mentioned and make a poll where we get to vote top 3 or maybe do a poll for IS and Clan with like top 8 each and allow 2 choices?

Oh yes! I would actually love to see all new pilots get a free Chamie with the creation of an account and/or at completion of the Academy.

The Crusader.
Variants viable for use would be (3R, 2R, 3D, 3L, 4D, 5M, 5S)
Lorewise its the most common heavy Battlemech of the 3025 to 3052 timeline of the inner Sphere mechs.
And ironicaly one of those mechs that never made it to a vid game until now.
Also its one of the mechs the majority of the elitists will cry dead on arival.
But as with many mechs this just depends on quirks, geometry and hitbox layout.
