Ouch. Ok, the HGR and possibly Fafnir would need some balancing done on them.

yup....

The standard HGR not so much as it has damage drop off built into it, it does more damage than an AC/20 below 180m, same damage as an AC/20 out to 390m and finally as much as an AC/10 out to 600m, the iHGR though, more damage than an AC/20 out to more than double the range basically obsoletes the AC/20, AC/10 and normal Gauss Rifle....

Don't get me wrong, it's all well and good to like what ever it is you like, but with anything packing future tech, just look at how it behaves in TT, to extrapolate how it will work here. Me? I'd love to see the RAC/5 (Rotary Auto Cannon/5), but I think a UAC/5 that could shoot 6 times before jamming would be a bit much, if it does 6 5dmg/hits that is....

Off the top of my head...

Mongoose
Mercury
Vulcan
Ostsol (Just to see how they'd remake it)
Exterminator
Raijin
Goliath + Scorpion (Putting in there just for you know who to be happy)
Guillotine
Axman
Flashman

Dasher
Cougar
Grendel
Nova Cat

Otherwise I'd trade and WAIT for ALL of the above just for further in-depth mechanics and development in this game.

The only Mech I'd be willing to buy is The Long Tom.

If planets have Long Toms, why do we need mechs? Just build more Long Toms, which must be cheaper and easier.

Chain fire them, and no planetary invasion could ever succeed.

The charger.
It is one of the biggest failures in lore.
But why kes?
Because it will show how utterly broken the game is in it's momentary state.
Even without quirk it will be top tier.
Just because of the 'limitless' customization...

The base model is considered a failure, but the variants generally aren't- all of which remove the biggest flaw, it's 400 rated engine in the 3025 era. In fact, the Charger-SB is quite arguably the Awesome's laser cousin, having very compatible stats built around a 4LL/1ML where the original Charger puts it's 5SL weapon layout. The rest fit neatly into the same ranges as the other 320-engine rated 80-tonners of the day.

The 3050 versions swap to a 400XL (and actually pack decent armor/weaponry) and of course, the Hatamoto series evolved from it much like the Dragon was turned into the Grand Dragon.

But.. but isnt the HGR reload time longer than AC 20? Also, as far as I recall the Fafnir are slower than an Atlas and its torso twisting capabilities minimal. That outta balance it somewhat..

That and the HGR/iHGR will almost inevitably be stuck in with the "Gauss recharge" limit group and you'll only be able to charge and fire one at a time (it'll basically "count as" a pair of standard Gauss).

Honestly, I'm so dissatisfied with the state of mwo and lack of progress on making FW tactically complex and engaging that PGI isn't getting another red cent.

I'll be around playing stock mech matchs when that feature drops but that's the last bit of interest I have in mwo. If that ends up being a premium only feature I'll probably just wash my hands of mwo and move on.

Sting and Wasp. But only because I missed getting the Marauder and Phoenix Hawk pre order. Although I am missing a light Hero from my mech bays, so it works out great. Waiting for an amazing assault Hero as well.

60-tonners in general tend to get less love due to their awkward tonnage placement- just light enough to use 300 rated engines, but too heavy to use half-ton jump jets, armor maximums being JUST short in various spots to really tolerate "heavy" class damage, etc.

Serious "middle child" tonnage problems.

Kodiak was officially the last purchase for this whale, I really don't care or feel that I need to buy any of the next mechs shown after. They're ok, but with all those saved up millions of cbills I'll just buy them *if* I really want them, at all. So to answer the question, the last thing that they could milk more money out from me would be Fafnir. That would be an insta-buy for me and that's pretty much it. Ok, maybe also one of the upgraded Marauders, too.

Now when I think about it, maybe the 4 mech packs were more appealing to me than individual releases, which I can resist more easily.

I feel that we have all the clan omnis of the current timeline less Firemoth. I find many like pouncer, phantom too much like current mechs.

If there is no time jump, then unique to clan battle mechs would be welcomed like behemoth, bane, grizzly, would be welcome.

Otherwise I would say risk unbalancing the game all over again by time jumping and introducing new weapons so that I can see the Templar and savage coyote.

Or just release Solaris arenas and make it accessible only to premium time so that it is revenue generating, simulates the entry fees for Solaris, and pays for the inherent efficient use of resources with such small maps.
