Seeing the match look pretty even and there's only 3 mechs left on both sides. You try an group up with your teammates and hit tab to see they are both D/C's and as you turn the corner you are met by a fresh Atlas. His SRM hug is warm and itchy.

I am group dropping with one or two team mates, and the pre match screen shows my side is a mix of 2 to 4 person squads and the other side is a 12 man of know high reputation. No one really enjoys being the turnips getting farmed.

Dropping on a planet with Long Tom in your favour .... and losing.

Loading into a match in solo quickplay to find 2+ team mates playing parking lot simulator at the DZ. Either tab'ed out of off making a "sam-mitch" or something.

Extra points if it's an assault mech and super bonus points for skirmish mode where it's free points for red team!

Passive teams. This is my worst scenario and it happens too often. They hide in a bowl under cover get us surrounded and we all die.

Ya, that can be a beotch. Whole team camped inside a fish barrel leaves the only choice as stick with them and die or go off alone and get focused down. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.

My worst memorable game:

On about round 8 of an epic solo quickplay losing streak. I moved up to gauss sniper DWF and dropped on old Frozen City.

First I shot a teammate in a ACH that decided to suddenly run in front of me for no reason.

Then I had half my team stand directly in front of me at various times so I couldn't get a single shot off or move freely.

Then I got head shotted by dual gauss and was the first death. I think I did about 30 dmg.

I'm all but convinced that some of those guys are just playing AFK so they can show up to the battle later with a fresh mech after everyone else is wounded to get easier kill shots. When piloting a fast mech I like to shoot at their feet to motivate them to get it in gear. If that doesn't work I shoot them in the back. F them and their precious K/D ratios.

And don't you just love the pilots who park to peek on the narrow ramps in canyon thus blocking anyone else without jump jets from getting by? If their VOIP is disabled because they're emos and can't hear me say "stop blocking the path"... it's arm blowing off time again. Not knowing where it's coming from the deaf mutes will scurry out of the way.

When I'm in a non cooperating, non communicating team and I try to lead a push by example only to be the first to die in the 12-0 loss that inevitably follows.

Happens quite often unfortunately.

When you out damage an entire lance on your team in a "weak" mech like the catapult getting 3-4 kills and the team still loses.

The team scatters around the map as if being within 1oom of each other will kill then then watch as they slowly die with no attempts at communication.

When you have the special ed pilot who twitches on and off between the lance and company command at the loading screen then never gives a single command.

When you give ecm cover to your assaults only to find them to be the ***-lrm build firing a barrage of missiles at the first contact of the enemy.

When I spectate on someone who just does incredible with a build that is clearly not ideal.
Then I get it into my head to try that build.
So I spend several million cbills getting the same build made and then excitedly going into a match to give it a try.
Only to be blasted into bits within seconds, because I momentarily forgot that even with the best builds I stink at this game.
Then spectating on someone who just does incredible with a build that is clearly not ideal...

I'm curious why you accelerate and stop with your mouse? I never heard of anyone doing that. How many buttons does your mouse have? How do you fire?

Logitech G700S. 1 of the thumb button is 100% throttle and the other is set to slowdown by increment of 10%. I mostly only use the reverse on the keyboard though and never got used to the decrease throttle which i intended to use to stay in others people back. Quick reverse/100% forward does a better job overall for quick, smaller turning radius rather than slowdown and be an easier targets for the rest of the enemy team. I only ever use decrease throttle when i wana follow a push not overshoot the lead, hes going to be the ****-magnet anyways =).

Crash in Invasion requiring >2 mins to reconnect.

It's literally the worst case you can ever encounter in this game, because it's 40-45 min of wasted time (reconnects after 2 min get no rewards).

My worst experience came from a PUG game, I was rather new to MWO, had just bought a shinny Timber Wolf Ala cart, back when they were for real $ only, loaded up a match, and faced off against a PUG team that had 2 members from the 228 and two members from LORDS... I had a bad, bad match... I'm not afraid to admit I got my backside handed to me by E N E R G Y.....

Now though, when I do play, I just go "F*** it, time to just play for some fun." when it stops being fun, I stop playing.

As a light, me doing my best to distract a team and kill some assaults to get them squirreling, which they do, and die trying, only to see later while spectating that my team did not do a godforsaken thing during that whole time despite my messages on VOIP on when and where to push. Not. One. Thing. Just standing there behind buildings ball-less and wetting themselves.
