When I play like a demon possessed until my condescending and highly opinionated son walks into the room and suddenly I begin playing like it's my first drop ever and can't battle my way out of a wet paper bag.

Dying late in a tough, close fight after doing serious work only to see my last two teammates are LRM mechs who will be eaten up by whatever the enemy has left.

running a light out ahead of the team, find the enemy, lock targets, throw up a uav and actively engage. while the majority team just stands there out of range hiding behind cover.

Getting killed in the situation just described, switching to spectate and the guy is carrying 4 meds and 1 lrm 5 pretending he's a lurmboat.

being in a locust, peeking and ducking into cover playing the poking game, when some heavy pilot decides he should park it right behind me. take a shot, hit reverse, go nowhere =insta kill

trying to be a nice light and run an enemy light off of one of my heavier team mates, just to be peppered by friendly fire while i'm in the middle of the resulting dogfight.

Dying and switching to spectate and watching player after player after player not lock on target. Not focus on damaged components. eventually losing as you watch a relatively healthy teammate get torn apart by someone you know to have an open ct or is nearly legged, because they won't just hit R.

It's also not fun when piloting a light mech, getting inside the domination circle only to find yourself pinned down while all the heavies and assaults set up camp outside the circle. If I can't get them to advance over the VOIP I say screw it and break away myself. If the team doesn't want to win why should I care either?

So much this! And it happens so often you begin to wonder if anyone knows what the objective is.

When you try to kill an enemy but end up onehitting some of your lights/mediums/heavys that where just walking straight through your fireline.
When the enemy hides on a rock and you have to reverse 500m just to be able to hit him.

When your team goes through a passage that is just a bit too small for your mech and theres some lights poking at your back.

when you miss that your entire team is retreating upon seeing an enemy.

when someone thinks you are the perfect shield and parks right behind you while you poke around some corner.

Getting Grim Plexus.

I must be cursed. My W/L on that map is far below any other at .76. It used to be worse around .5. I don't even think it matters what I do. Even when I play well, it seems like my team gets rolled all the same.

My next lowest is HPG at 1.05. Every other map falls somewhere between there and 1.65 for Mining Collective.

When both teams NASCAR to each other's bases on any Assault mode map. I can see it happening, I type in both team and all chat "please not basewarrior online, everyone wants c-bills right?" and sometimes get a reply "It's assault mode, don't tell me not to play the game" after which a base cap race ensues, and we all end the match having never fired a shot. Pathetic.

Having one or more discos in the team to then see the wannebe scout or scouts die instantly.

Realizing that we are - by now and for now - already 3 mechs down.

Only to find out on the minimap that the team is not split into two tasty chunks that can be swallowed with no problem at all, but split into 4 tiny groups that are so far spread, that you can fit mount everest between them.

Seeing everyone get slaughtered horribly and then the worst case scenario ist to have even a single of those players in your team again next game.

My worse case scenario is coming back after an absence to find nothing has really changed past the flavor of the month. Happens a lot.

My worst playing experiences is when I get caught out of position. I go left when my team goes right, or I'm in a location firing and after I get mobbed I notice my team moved on without me. A lack of situational awareness on my part I find frustrating.

Grim Plexus. I get wrecked on Grim.

More then 2+ AFKs - for team.

Loss of main weapons early in match - for me.

Assault/heavy lance chasing a light - for team.

Most of team nascars on caustic or any other map even when told not to - for team.

Players that use weapons outside of under their range limit - for team.

Rambo players that charge off alone while not telling anybody that they're pushing
and blame team for not helping - for team.

Terribad therma in my hottest mech or atlas(because of it's low aim axis) - for me.

I live my worst case scenario on a regular basis.

"Hey guys....single mech over here, come help me mop it up".

(Commits to attack only to find 3 other mechs with the target, dies ignominiously )

Thinks to self, "I will NEVER do that again", but often does.

When players spend the first couple minutes bitching because they don't like the map, or the MM is broken.

Watching players chase the squirrel - all day, every day... even when they clearly don't have enough speed to catch up..

Too many games have been won by a squirrel drawing away half the enemy team from the front lines. Even though said squirrel often dies he/she has in effect already won the game for their own side.

I had the strangest experience yesterday. Skirmish on Crimson, a lolcaust shows up and I see 10 of 12 pips turn start drifting into our backfield. Meanwhile a Kodiak 3 and I continue advancing under the overpass and, because we are a KDK-3 and a 12-ERSL Nova, we intimidate the other 11 enemies into staying up top and only timidly poking at us for the next two minutes. We won 12-1. Our only loss was that Kodiak.

I just straight up don't enter the circle as a light unless it's PH. In every other map, it takes less than 30 seconds for a heavy to get to the green circle. Not my job to stand there and get shot at--I barely have enough armor as it is.

And if they don't like it?

One of my worst quick play experiences recently: Telling friendlies that the enemy is flanking behind us by typing it in /teamchat with grid location, popping a UAV to counter the enemy ECM, announcing it using VOIP, selecting/holding lock/shooting an enemy mech that's behind us while literally running in front of our firing line so my teammates can see I'm shooting behind them...and watching as the whole team stands still and gets torn up from behind, then complains the lights didn't scout.

I had a funny experience in a Locust, being the last alive and having my location called as AFK whilst I was capping in a conquest match....

As for the sort of scenarios I dread the most, one of them has to be locating and occupying a lone or small number of enemy mechs, only to have my teammates too timid to close the distance and engage. Perhaps the worst I've ever experienced was this week on Mining Collective. Myself an another Locust are dogfighting with an enemy Kodiak in B2/B3. Our entire assault lance and a few others, perhaps 6-8 mechs in total are all clustered together in B4, taking potshots at the KDK down that narrow corridor and flatout refusing to move into B3 due to the threat of crossfire from C3. Myself and the other Locust were killed by the KDK, who then had the rest of his team push C3 / C4 together and slaughter the rest of the team like lambs....
