It's great when it's on your side, isn't it guys? lol

I remember grinding intel from 70% to 90% one time, then playing invasion to "taste of the fruits my labor", so to speak. Man, that felt good. All those delicious tears...

It was funny the first few times I saw it then it just got sad, and pathetic and boring.

It amused me the first time till I realized how much space bucks it took out of my pocket at the end of the match, then the dislike set in.

And yet some CJF's still keep scouting planets to 100% which then kills the queue completely.

I mean it's cause and effect... Cause being Steiner's inability to win scouting. Effect, no matches for both sides, that's a massive bummer for the entire playerbase

le-sigh.

Yea, once the event is over I am hoping we can go back to normal and our gentleman's agreement to not get long tom goes back into effect, at least until PGI fixes/removes it. It was bound to happen one way or the other with an event that gives bonuses for scouting.

Agreed Pat.

Hopefully the pugs realize what it is doing and adjust accordingly.

They won't. I tried in faction chat for hours, no one cares. They just keep scouting the maxed planet even thought there are THREE others to scout on.

The queue just goes from 99+/99+ (even in Oceanic) to 4/0 in less than 30mins.

End result if deeply stacked queues elsewhere, less games for all.

Which is a problem indicative of the scouting mode. This clearly shows that clans have the inherent advantage. There are no groups of 4-mans maxing out long toms on planets, it's almost entirely pug vs pug.

Sad when you consider Griffin/HBK/BJ/SHD are all very capable scouting mechs, and a deck composed of 3 mediums and an oxide, for instance, can go head to head against the very best the clans can offer. Not even a slight bit inferior.

If only we could somehow force IS pugs to buy a good 55 tonner since the stormcrow is pretty much an auto-buy for Clanners.

I was really surprised from it.
My loyalty Cent-AH is pretty much one of the best things I've ever piloted.

to bad pgi is too stupid to save the nerfs to longtom every time they patch .its been back to 100% kill everything in range for the whole event and all they do is extend the damn time we have to put up with this crap.
first time ever I couldn't make the minimum score for points as I lost both assaults to longtom before getting 200 meters out of the drop zone. pgi you you really need to wake the hell up and maybe play your own damn game to see the mistakes first hand ffs

[Long Tom] is no problem for Russ and Paul. [Long Tom] and the #MapGate have proven that Russ and Paul have no clue of their own game. They know nothing about how the player play the game and they obviously don´t play it and so they have no problem with [Long Tom].

Russ has actually bothered to ask for player feedback so that they can change Long tom.

That means he recognizes it as an issue, whether you wish to believe that or not.

It's not all roses, and I'm not a white knight, but Russ is actually trying. Posted Image

Long Tom as it currently stands isn't fun. I play games to attack people, not watch the broken mechanic solo an enemy invasion force.

I don't think there's any player in the game who disputes that ^^

2 Events and more than 2 month and PGI do nothig... wait... they have react and raised the possible damage from 2100? to around 25000.
And all the month PGI have the data.

But you are right.. there is still hope and MWO can be great again

The good IS mediums are good in an organized team with players who can aim. For pugs who can't aim the scrow is a huge advantage.

The problem isn't 4man v 4man, it's pug v pug.

That is the truth. With the majority of players being pugs you have to take that into consideration when looking at balance.

Russ the same guy that doesn't like poking out to get an alpha in the face (which he has said many times in his town halls) thinks the long Tom is a good idea. Must never once been in a match (receiving of benefitting )from the long Tom, otherwise he'd know how ridiculous it is.
