we know from the $3 urbanmech that transactions can go down at least that far and still be viable in terms of transaction costs. someone even mentioned a $2 locust.
simply add more content in the $2-7 bracket. if you can do a $1 value menu and still turn a profit, you should do that.

Any CBIll mech w/ mech bay.
Light = $2
Med. = $3
Hvy. = $4
***. = $5
Toss in a rare supply cache while you're at it and limit players to 1 per month so they don't spam the lights for cheap mechbays.

Sell even MORE mechs by letting players select from all the variants they own for the mech chassis they selected for the drop.
For example: I initially select my Kitfox Purifier variant (close range fire support) before hitting the "quick play" button. Then Polar Highlands gets selected as the map (oh noes!!!). I would now like the ability to switch to my Kitfox variant that has triple AMS and ER medium lasers.
This would encourage players to expand the number of variants they have for each mech chassis they own..

Confetti cannons and paintball markers for MC. They operate on the same principal as Rockets, have no min range, 100 meters max range, and deal no damage. Confetti splashes color over the enemy Mech (possible frame drop though) and leaves streamers hanging off it. Paintballs mark the enemy Mech in a "count coup" kind of thing. They would be for Lols and nothing more.
