CRB-27B

15% heat reduction for the ERLL's and 10% on the SPLs, good number of heat sinks, as speedy as a phoenix hawk, well armored.

I have two versions:

First:
3xER-LL

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d46ffe21a3f4244

Because of range it does not have to be very fast. No Ghost Heat, Quirks for ER-LL and you can zombie with one of them.

Second:
Pulslaser with JJ and the ultimate zombie-apocalypse - also reasonable fast for having a STD engine.

This Crab 27B is possibly the most fearsome medium IS mech a player using trial champions can hope to experience. 6 medium pulse lasers and an insane amount of double heat sinks make this well-armored behemoth a nasty brawler.

The Crab is really not that great with XL engines, but with 2-3 CT & HD hardpoints it is the perfect Zombie mech, so STD engine it has to be.

The 27B with 6 hardpoints and 10% reduced heat gen is the perfect choice for medium pulse laser boating. My favourite mech for Scout Faction play. 95kph after speed tweak aint that bad either.

CRB-27 "The Undying" http://mwo.smurfy-ne...42c4e70f3448d48

300 STD, endo, max ferro, 5x mlas, 2x AMS, 16 DHS.
Weapon groups:
(1) alpha
(2) arm mlas

This Crab actually has what noobs need, survivability and sustainable dps. There would be much less crying in scouting if pugs brought this instead of the other junk trials available.

I doubt it'll get many votes, as its not a "meta-built".... but here's my current favorate crab.

CRB-27B

Its more of a 'meta-hunter' than a 'meta-build'. I set it up to hunt those 80-90 damage laser-vomit mechs. It can run the flamer for ages before over-heating, and thats WITH firing the 4ml's.

And if things get to hot, you can simply cycle-fire the ml's, while continuing to use the flamer. And with the Beagle, those laser-vomits you shut down, never get their lock broken, so your neighborhood LRM boat never has to worry about losing the lock your sharing with him.

This is my CRB-27B build.

It's tanky, good speed and nice fire power while being good on heat.

Could use more AMS on the battlefield, seeing how some new player think LRM are deadly weapon. Best to start educating use of AMS early.

Close to 500m optimum range for the twin Large Laser, allow for early engagement or to hang back among the safety of slow assault mechs.
Dual AMS to cut down majority of incoming LRM on said assault mechs, while 3x SPL let it dance with enemy lights to protect assault mech's back armour.
Somewhat decent speed if the pilot want to play ranged sniper, but not as good as a sniper Raven. Can upgrade to ERLL later, if they planning to pursue that play style.
Alternatively play it as a skirmisher with other fast medium.

CRB-27 - Eye Stalks
2x LL (495m)
3x SPL (121m)
2x AMS with 2t ammo (4000)
STD 255 engine (82.6kph / 88.8kph)
13 DHS (42% Heat Efficiency)
338/338 Armour
