I'd like to have critical chance reduction on more mechs please.

Spoiler

I'll name a few mechs that I think could benefit from this quirk the most. The mechs with higher priority are listed from top to bottom:

-Highlander
-Highlander IIC
-Orion
-Orion IIC
-Vindicator
-Awesome
-Zeus
-Victor
-Centurion
-Trebuchet
-Shadow Hawk
-Cataphract
-Mauler
-Dragon
-Archer
-Catapult
-Marauder

I'll now list a few mechs that can theoretically use this quirk but it is also much less necessary.

- Hunchback 4J 4H
- Gargoyle A, C
- Cicada 3M, 3C
- Rifleman
- Summoner
- Nova C
- Urbanmech
- Thunderbolt

I agree I run dual gauss builds only, if I do use gauss. Just because singles gauss I feel are useless since the charge nerd. But yes i feel mechs like the vindicate really need the love.

I'm not even making that list on whether or not mechs are underperforming. The reason why I've made the list is because mechs like Vindicators have a lot of structure and often carry weapons with a lot of critical slots.

That's a recipe for a lot of weapons that are suddenly able to go missing when armor goes down. And that's frustrating, These mechs need two things: either more armor or a critical chance reduction. Why is the Atlas the only mech that gets this quirk?

It can be very easy for vital weapons to go missing; especially the weapons that are a tonnage investment. This includes:

- Gauss Rifles,
- Autocannons
- (Artemis) LRM 10/15/20
- Artemis SRM 6
- PPCs

Yes, I'm sure. The list isn't about balance. It's about "mechs that can benefit this quirk the most."

My criteria is:
- If a mech has significant structure quirks.
- If a mechs combat role often involves heavy weaponry that takes up 4+ critical slots.
- If a mech has weapon hardpoints in sections that are easy to shoot at.

I'm only merely providing a list of mechs where the quirk is most valuable. Balance however, is a different discussion.

By that logic, mechs like the Raven 4X deserve this quirk due to troll builds like the "Boombird".

Does the Raven 4X have a lot of structure quirks?
Yes

Does it's combat role often include heavy weaponry that takes up a lot of critical slots?
No (It no longer has ballistic quirks.)

Does the Raven have weapon hardpoints that is unusually easy to shoot at?
No (It's arms and side torsos are quite small.)

You can test me on this as much as you like, I will even update the criteria if there is any need to. My point still stands that there are still mechs out there that could benefit from this quirk. No matter what tier of mech they are.

Ok, what about the Hunchback and the Hunchback IIC? Both of them work with big ballistics and while the IS Hunchie has crazy structure, the Clan version has nothing.

I've thought about hunchbacks, and they've almost made it to the list. But theres just a few things that detract from the quirk being nessecary.

The Hunchback IIC has no structure quirks whatsoever. I've concluded that a player is probably going to lose a side torso much more often than have a crit weapon. The quirk won't be all that useful on the Hunchback IIC without more structure.

The original Hunchback on the other hand, does have good structure quirks. But what it also has; is a lot of armor within the hunch. More armor means longer lasting weapons. While the Hunchback could still benefit from critical reduction; the Hunchback doesn't need it as much.

If it's still desirable however, then I recommend the variants 4H and 4J. I'll make "less desired" section that includes Hunchbacks.
