So guys title kinda says it all.. I know all about the missile and energy versions, and even messed around a bit with PPC's, but i have yet to dig into the dakka crow.. anyone have one they like to play? I don't mind mixed builds and at this weight class would kinda expect it, but i kinda wanna try um out.
Do you have one that you find a blast to play?

The Crow has at most 1 single ballistic slot in the left arm. Good news is that you can fit a UAC20 or a Gauss in it.
SCR-C Gauss and MLs
SCR-C UAC20 and MLs
SCR-C Gauss and LPL
You could also use something like a LB10 instead of the UAC20 or the Gauss and have room for more energy weapons on a mixed build.

I wish they would make a Hero or whatever with 2-3 Ballistic in each torso for the Crow.
Or at least a right torso with 2 missile hardpoints.

If you are comfortable with the gauss rifle, I suggest the gauss 5ml build.

Personally I'd run this UAC20/ERML, 5T of UAC20 ammo you'd rarely use it all, that build gets you a big more ranged/closing damage. Just shield with right arm first, let the ERML fall and keep the UAC alive.
Or try a UAC10/ERML - also good fun.
These are some other random ones you could have a crack at/switch around for shits and giggles.
UAC20/SPL - a nasty little 100km/h strike weapon. Idea is shoot and GTFO, cause once people realise that loadout, you're a priority target given the dmg you can inflict/speed you can run. It can be run with one less heatsink and extra SPL,but it's fairly hot then.
UAC10/LPL/ERML - This is a little different and suited to more extended engagements. LPL/UAC10 and a ERM backup. Idea is to skirmish, try hold at 500m and UAC/laser alpha till you need to cool. The DPS seems low on paper, you have the UAC double tap. There are a few variations you can make:
1. You can pull off the RT ERML and add a TC3 or a TC2 and a tonne of ammo for even longer engagements.
2. Take out the RT ERML and and heatsink for better cooling, or drop 1T of ammo for the heatsink and keep some damage as 5T is almost over-doing it even with a UAC10... In FP I rarely use my full 5T on my TBR UAC10 build for instance. 4T I would probably run out but there is still lasers to keep hammering with.
Anyway, have fun with them all.

I offer the venerable SCR-C A siegebreaker and a brawler, this build is designed to get stuck in and emerge victorious. Not built for sustained combats. For a bit of staying power, swap the Uac for an Lbx an drop the srms to fours and redesignate the ammo tonnage to suit.

I definitely enjoyed the UAC 20/6 SPL combo quite a bit, but you absolutely get hot faster than you might expect. I think I ended up dropping it down to a UAC 10, just for more ammo and better heat.

UAC-10 with backup lasers is solid. UAC-20 is hot, slow and jams too much imho.

Hmm i'll have to try the UAC10, Never gave that weapon a shot yet.
One thing i have noticed is the SCR can loose arms fairly easy.. Combine that with my natural using left arm to shield i have been loosing my UAC20 more often than i'd like. I really wish they had a right side ballistic arms arm..
Might have to try placing 3 lasers in the torso, as loosing all 4 in an arm loss is a decent loss.
thanks for the tips

Generally I find the ballistic crows weaker than the laser/missile ones, but probably UAC10 4xERML or UAC20 3xERML. But when that thing jams you lose a butt ton of DPS which is why dual UACs is strongly preferred.
Gauss 4xERML used to be another meta build, but now it suffers from low DPS and no choice but to expose the entire mech to get out a reasonable alpha, whereas you can do asym builds on the laser boats. Additionally since the 'crow only has one weapon module you'll have to give up something important like Adv Seismic, Radar Dep, ERML range or Gauss cooldown. You can't take all 4 modules.
