These issues have nothing to do with PGI but the way our fiber infrastructure is built and expanded. Both 3g and 4g along with everything being connected has pushed the system to the brink. Those lucky enough to live near hi-tech industry benefit from their continued expansion of fiber and bandwidth but many areas of the country don't share in that and are being pushed by greater traffic and limited fiber.

Add in ever increasing attacks and you have a recipe for disaster.

My area (Maine) pushes traffic through Boston. Its been getting tight for a few years now and interruptions are increasing. Still the installation of new backbone fiber is only in the planning stages. No money or justification for investment. Its only going to get worse.

I'm still trying to figure out how Wireless Cell bandwidth is actually part of the discussion (it's only if you use it primarily as your Internet connection - fiber backbones have nothing to do with this).

Please stop.

I have seen people who get single-digit pings. I know not what blasphemous sorceries they employ for such speeds... but I'd like to borrow some!

(In the meantime, I'll settle for my ~35ms pings from East Coast USA.)

Singaporeans on Oceanic are the most jealousy inducing.

It's not just for cell phones. its for computers, too, I quote,

"a mobile communications standard that allows cell phones, computers, and other portable electronic devices to access the Internet wirelessly."

I am one of these people (you may not have seen me but my ping does dip to the single digits).

I live on the island of Montreal where the servers are located, if I'm not mistaken, and have a 30 Mbps connection. Life is good vis-a-vis my ping in MWO.

OP, you say the NA servers are trash and yet I hear no complaints about them and my ping is definitely lower then EU. So, rather than make a blanket statement as fact, you change it and say "my connection to NA servers is trash". Maybe take more responsibility on your end, or consider there are other kinks in the chain of your computer to the servers. There are companies, connections, hardware between ur computer and the servers - especially if others aren't having the same issue.

Then try MWO support, the technical forums, and your internet provider...before you blame PGI (which always seem to be the default).

I dont have Fiber nor do i have Fiber available in my area and my internets work just fine.

I do not think the cell phone towers have anything to do with Fiber but i just dont know enough about stars to dispute it.

I'm aware, and I know people that uses their Cell Phone's Wireless connection for their Internets.

When you talk about fiber though, we're not really talking about 3G/4G (we're talking about Gigabit+ srs business).

Please ship off your servers to a different location that is more amendable the majority of your customers who play on the NA servers.

Maybe it allready is that way and you are part of the minority?
