1) We don't know, but probably yes, eventually. It depends on Russ Bullock.
2) BattleTech MRMs are almost useless, due to their range brackets and inaccuracy.
3) Future MWO MRMs would probably have different characteristics anyway.

Spread might be brutal maybe even ripple fire mode - but the ability to aim and not to have a lock on - would make them deadly foremost at point blank. (MRM 30 and 40 in TT are also great weapons for fast strikers - fighting assaults)

Ripple-Fire
~650m Max Range
No Minimum Range
No lock
All of the above should apply. Give each salvo the same ROF as clan LRMS to nerf the potential of Alpha-Boating and everybody should be happy. Those 40's will take a long time to cycle through but will work great against stationary targets and for suppression.
At the least I'd use 'em.

They also need a bad (almost LB like) spread effect, as in TT MRM's get an additional +1 to hit due to their nature as inaccurate.

That's represented by the ripple-fire (though that doesn't mean there should be 0 spread). If you gave them LBX-like spread you'd have to fire them on mass, at which point they're a direct fire LRM (not that this is a bad thing either). Giving them ripple-fire makes them distinct from LRM/SRMs and encourages more variety in playstyles.

Ripple launch still works with a spread, just look at Clan SRM's, they are ripple launch with spread.
