as far as forums go, I don't really think so, it's just they seem more vocal for some reason.. The whole, i spent XXX amount and the game is not what i want.. Or PGI sucks, or doesn't care.. (because Russ made an off handed statement basically boiling down to, we can't please everyone) It's more the Parrot effect, repeat something enough and it might become true in their eyes. But honestly it does make me laugh, as most of the most outspoken are people that have played 1k's of hours and maybe 2k, 3k or 5k+ matches and the game sucks.. You know like reading steam rants of how aweful a game is yet has 1500 hours played. I dunno about you, but for me a bad game gets maybe an hour or two tops.. Heck often games i like or find interesting barely make it past the 2-3 hour mark, because i have other games that i just love more.
But eh.. it's only one match, i find if i am getting annoyed by people playing it is time to take a break and play something else.. It has kept this game fresh to me

Ebbs and flows. There's always the little epeen trolls who can't operate without acting like dillweeds, in game. The Forums have seen a bit of an uptick the last few months, too, due largely to some poorly handled town halls.
But in game? The Kiddy Effect is in force. Every summer, and major holiday the 14 yr olds with attitude show up.

I think the forums became a little more toxic when the whole Clan Invasion $500 Gold mech debacle went down. I don't think PGI or the forums really ever fully recovered from that. Still even before all that, there was still forum toxicity whether it was hiteg, knockdown removal, weapon balance, or SHS obsolescence. So even though I think there has been a bit more toxicity after clans, I think it has been pretty level since then.
As for in game, it does seem about the same honestly. As far back as I can remember there has been trolls and rude players in game (along with many good players too). The level of toxicity seems to have stayed the same overall IMO.
The forums and matches seem to have their ups and downs in the short term, but long term, it seems pretty constant.

Honestly, I felt that things have been pretty mellow, overall, since mid to late late 2014. Especially compared to how it was in 2013 where it was a true cesspit. But the last few townhalls, the related releases of the rifleman, archer, etc, the flop of FW Phase 3, all have ratcheted things up a bit again.

It depends on what you want to pay attention to and how much, like life. You going to always listen to that one couple argue and fight all the time, or are you going to ignore it and keep going.
Least that's how I see it, people either have it their way or the highway.

Eh, it was bound to happen eventually. The blame can be found in part by the slow progress, poor communication from the devs, and for some the voting system that leads to repeatedly having to play modes they have no interest in. It all wears thin after awhile and creates easily agitated grumpy people.

That might be true. Honestly it is hard for me to remember all the toxic trends. I just know some things stand out and it felt BAD when those issues hit.

because of ignorance, brainless playing, crying about something but play totally bad themselves and so many other reasons you could just slap their faces for.
