You can get get all snarky about them but apparently some folks want them and have been waiting a long time for them to show up.

On the surface, I do not care about them but if they will do a custom decal that I submit then I would happily buy them to put on all my Mechs.

They add to lore (a little) they are fun, they allow more customization, and they are completely voluntary purchases for those that want them.

Why complain? NVM rhetorical question.

Faction decals have a loyalty point boost? Are we getting paid for advertisement?

Unlockable means it will be priced like colours, 500mc-1000mc. No thanks, i own more than half the colours, ive paid my due. I would pay 25mc for single use on mech i particularly like, Other than that, unless theres a bitching skull&bones im gona pass like most cockpit item.

Not likely, the Clans don't actually use currency...

I hear house Steiner has lots of money to toss around though...

Thank goodness for "deckles," now this game can be 100% free to play! Just think, with Home Depot, Lowes, Pepsi, Ford, GM, O'Reilly's, Autozone, NAPA, Walmart, Texaco, etc. funding "deckles" as paid advertising content, PGI won't have to charge us anything now! Imagine that; unlimited, free Premium Time! Unlimited, free Mech Bays! No more Premium costs for anything! All because of the glory of "deckles" now bedecked across your Mechs, on your uniform, and around the walls of your Mech Garage! It'll be just like those free use websites for video or photo hosting, gmail, or random content!

Whoo-hoo! Who here's excited? Let me see a show of hands!!!

Russ at one point mentioned this and said at the time the community said it shouldn't be a priority, if their asset artists need something to do, I am all for variable geometry, would be another nice layer of customization, hell have different variants of IS mechs have different geometry every so slightly to help pick them out visually. But, of course trying to prevent making them too much of a min max thing by changing the geometry massively allowing for like tower shields on the Centurion or what not. But swappable geometry would be very fun.

These small things help make us feel like we own these mechs, that they are ours and we have customized them and made them ours. Plus it means anyone with Phoenix Pack stuff should auto-unlock it on any other version of the mech that they own, same with exclusive geometry for invasion and resistance packages. It would give a lot of us who own those a feeling of ownership to our mechs. And, like Sarah's Jenner make it so those who didn't get them when they were pre-order or in their limited window of sale to not be able to buy them for MC or Cbills, or earn them in any fashion, just have other custom variations for each mech.

So you can completely cover your cockpit glass now with deckels? That Griffin's head looks really nice.

EDIT: or it's just that Steam special version? :s

The Steam Light pacl offers the ACH and RVN. The Medium pack is the SCR and HBK.

I think this is all decals.

Edit: It is getting late. I am tired.

Yeah I didn't realise that it's a decal of the Atlas' head.

The Phranken Pattern for the Griffin is doing most of the work there. The only Decals (visible) in that image are the Atlas head and the 'Ninja Stripes' on the pelvis area.

Thanks for the clarification Alex. My opinion still stands. The decals are much more than I expected them to be; especially that Atlas face.

And they say you guys never read the forums Pfffft!
