I have a 2 erppc nova that works well, and a 2 erppc adder that works less well.

I have found that they are very team dependent builds, they are great support but can't carry.

You don't have the heat dissipation to be in a brawl, so you need your team to be engaging while you are slightly farther away.

I've had a lot of 600-800 damage matches, but an equal amount of 100-200 damage.

I run 2 CERPPC Adders, Hunchbacks, Novas, Ebon jags, etc...

they work well, if you position yourself well... don't try to brawl with them (hopefully you have some backup weapons with them for when the enemy closes the distance) but can be very very effective when used properly

I'm partial to the Shadow Cat, myself.

Some people prefer both guns on one side for convergence. I do not, because I do not like all my eggs in one basket.

Trigger discipline and positioning are key.

Ebon Jag or Timbie with 2CERPPCs + Gauss is a competitive build that can work anywhere.

This is the build I came into the thread to suggest. Very fun and pretty effective. I also like the Nova or Hunch with 2 PPC's. Summoner and Scat aren't too bad either. There's always the 2 guass + 2 PPC Kodiak which is pretty popular in the tournament so far.

Nah, 6 ERML 2 CERPPC works. It's basically two builds in one, fixing the slot issues of the TBR and EBJ. Since Heat Sinks take 2 slots, it works out.

I've always run into really bad heat issues with 2 ERPPCS on smaller mechs, like mediums and below... Above that it can be pretty functional, had a pretty solid ebin had built around em.

Works...more fun at least for me. Got a PPC adder, shadowcat and timberwolf that I use fairly often. I like that you have to chose your shots and make them count as well as really manage your heat. The work best for me on mechs that are fast enough to re position constantly and without too much delay. Hit and run, turn heads, aggravate....infuriate.

I have a 4 ER PPC warhawk. You can brawl for a few shots but better have an exit strategy.

Oh sweet god do I love my x2ERPPC Adder! Its the light mech I have the absolute most fun using. That is what should matter here, whether or not its entertaining. Positioning and knowing when to fight is everything, and I find it immensely satisfying supporting heavies and assaults with what is effectively sniper fire.

I'd say my best matches with it ranges from 300-600 damage. On rare occasions where I'm overlooked I can push this a bit higher, with my record being about 1000. With more intelligent placement and aim I'm positive I could bring these numbers higher and get them more often.

2 cERPPC Nova <3. The poptart is real.

The only mech thatis more fun to play than the 2 cERPPC Nova is the 2 ER PPC BJ-3, and that's only cause of quirks.

The Summoner reigns supreme. But the Nova and HBK IIC are really good too.

New Huntsman could be also a candidate for it.
