still didn't fix the wait time. Almost 2 minutes to get a dam drop.

Well queue times are allot better now compared to earlier, for an hour or something there where sub 1 minute queues (mostly 10-20sec), but the matchups where really bad everysingle battle ended in a stomp. Something like 6 straight losses with 500+ damage where hardly anyone did 300+.

Now its up to something like 2-5 minutes again and stomps are back to the normal 50%.

EDIT: Jinxed it now its more like 8-10 again :(

is anyone else finding that it takes an abnormally long time to get a match?

Only seems to be affecting medium mechs for some reason. Posted Image

only thing ive noticed is the suspect nature of some peoples scores, just have a look at em.

same cheaters every event, just be happy if you make it to the free consumables pack.

PGI, I like the concept of the event. I do love my medium 'mechs. But, the rewards are crap.

Actually, for the lacking requirements, they're about right. There should, however, have been about a 20 reward for playing for at least 30 matches. That way, those who didn't do the LeaderBoard would have provided enough battle rounds for all those who did give a try at it. Seems like PGI can't keep from shooting themselves with an LB-10X/AC, huh? :(

Please do more than just state that you hate it... Add some constructive criticism, even if you feel that it has to contain the anger you're feeling at the time. Otherwise, it doesn't provide anything useful to the discussion, and only makes you look like some whiny annoyance that didn't want to fix anything. ;)

Personal challenge does little to stimulate play, its not a 'challenge' if I only need to play 10 rounds to complete it.
Leaderboards promote terrible playstyle that does not do the game justice (you all know what I mean, if not see the many threads about previous events).
Leaderboards (and QP events in general) subtract from the real game mode Community Warfare. PGI said in the beginning that CW would be where its at, yet they continuously make it where its not.

Could probably think of more but getting sick of the devs making the game worse every week.

so played some yesterday where our medium scout lance went looking for the enemy while the medium support lance waited to back up the medium assault lance when they pushed. sometimes I saw a heavy.

So wait times got better because russ changed the maximum amount of mediums in the match maker.
He wrote it on twitter. But why should PGI use their god dam own forum.

Alot more 12:3 stomps than before the challenge and that makes no fun.
People are spreading over the whole map, only to get killed one by one.
Constantly hiding, because the don't want to die early in match, because that would mean, no high damage or kills. And because of this the whole team is losing.

How could I change this? If 80% of team is defensive, then I have to be defensive too.

after solo kill, the most important is KMDD... so hiding to pickup killing blows doesn't help in the grand scheme of the event.

Early Final Review, 2016 July "Medium Mech Madness" Event ---

I got the Personal Challenges done in a rather short time. I was kind of shocked that PGI didn't choose to make them a little tougher and throw in a tiny reward on at least one challenge. That would have helped with player retention during this event through providing a wider set of players to battle. :(


However, I found the active player base remaining after for the LeaderBoard to be too lopsided in terms of skill. Matchmaker keeps placing me with bad groupings, resulting in most matches being mediocre at best. There's no way I or any other mid-grade casuals will ever make a LeaderBoard Victory, directly because of how quickly the player pool dries up and how PGI has made the formula so extremely bloodthirsty. Teamwork seems to have gone out the window more than usual, so all I can do is give up early, pack my bags, and put my Mech Stable in Sleep Mode. -_-
