Thanks :) HBK-IIC guide was just a well timed coincidence. It was planned a couple of weeks back.

What do you think about a 600-round 4xSRM-6 1xERPPC HBK-IIC-B build, four JJ in the side torsos, one ton of ammo per arm, two per leg, active probe in the head for some reason, the rest heat sinks and nearly maxed armor outside of 4-5 points on the arms and legs?

I think the slow engine is making it tough to play well, I think a bigger engine with SRM-4 launchers and no arm ammo (maybe keep the arm ammo) might be a more fun build.

@Omniseed - typically I prefer mechs to have a single role and do that role well. I think I know what you're trying to do with the build. It's mostly a short range mech that's got something to do at long range. But a single ERPPC is not really worth any kind of face time at that range. The time it takes for you to do fire off that ERPPC, any dedicated sniper will outdamage you, even a lowly ERLL Raven. You really want to avoid these kind of bad trades in a IIC. Also it sounds like you're either sacrificing carrying Artemis and or some speed to get that ERPPC on there. So when you actually want to brawl, you're less effective.

One of the builds I will talk about in the B guide is the 4xASRM6 2xMPL build. It's a dedicated close support mech (not quite a brawler) and it does that role alright.

Thanks very much for this! If you're taking suggestions, how about a Blackjack or Shadowhawk guide?
