HI all. While I'm not particularly new, I'm not really a veteran player of mwo yet. Just encounter this during the FW event and finally got round to asking. Was lrming in my archer and monitoring my heat levels when it got high and I popped a coolshot as it was a good time to continue the suppression fire. After the coolshot my heat drop to about 60% and my next volley got it to 70 ish. Suddenly I hear override shut down on Betty. I figured I could have pushed that limit just as I coolshot and it was just a delayed announcement (u know how betty drones on for awhile). But because I knew I didn't hit the 100% threshold long if at all, I would take no or negligible dmg. Then the next volley brought me to 80+ and warning still sounded and suddenly I blew the torso off my archer, killing myself. Was this just a bug or was it delayed heat response? Because I always monitor heat while I'm lrming

I've never experienced it myself but I've noticed a few videos on YouTube where the mech is in overide,
at max heat, turns and runs behind a berm to cool...when suddenly <boom> torso blows. No one's ever
mentioned it or highlighted it but it's plain as day. Seems like a delayed heat build up? Seen Kanashi

I've had those. I know heat dmg ticks for a while even you get just below 100. Always just associated it to lag or mechanics because you did go over the threshold. But in this case I already pumped a coolshot and it still gave me that override shutdown warning twice at 70 and 80%. That's what got me puzzled. Cox I shouldn't have taken heat damage at that range or triggered override shutdown

Override shutdown is said at two times.
One, when you press it while above a certain percentage, believe it is 85%. The other is when you near 100% to remind you it is on. Again believe it is between 85 to 95.
Since it stays on, remember that you take a lot of extra damage when around 109 to 115% to the point of instant death.
When extremely high say in excess of 300%, you will take massive non-lethal CT damage in the form of removing 99% of CT structure.
Note you can reach 300% heat and shutdown... for less damage than being at 104% and overrided for 3 seconds.

I'll re-watch some. I never booked them since I wasn't watching the content for that. It's not very noticeable and only reason I saw it was chance.
I watch so many streams (since I'm new) that they all run together after a while...
Excepts Snuggles Time...I can never get "Herbert The Pervert" voice out of my head now..."I won't pinch..much"
I'll try to remember next time to grab the time stamp and link..
