Known Issues and FAQS for 19-JUL-2016 Patch

Decals


Decals: 'Mech Decals may occasionally project onto surfaces surrounding the 'Mech (confirmed for August fix).
Decals: When overlayed onto Cockpit Glass black colors will appear invisible.
Decals: Switching from an already applied Color-supported Decal to a Color-locked Decal (such as a Faction insignia) and then back to a Color-supported Decal will revert the Decal Color to its default (fix planned for August).
Decals: Some of the Map Decals on Tourmaline Desert, Grim Portico, Grim Plexus, HPG Manifold, Vitric Forge have been temporarily removed to avoid a rendering issue with 'Mech Decals. These Map Decals will be restored in a future patch when a solution is in place (confirmed for August fix).
Decals: 'Mech Decals can sometimes overlay onto map geometry when the 'Mech is colliding with it (confirmed for August fix).

Potential Avast Conflicts


During testing of this patch we encountered a rare issue with certain machines running Avast where the Avast client would flag the MechWarrior Online client for quarantine. So far Avast is the only instance we’ve received of this issue, and it doesn’t seem to be affecting all Avast users. At this time we are unsure as to what is causing this, and why it is only occurring with certain Avast clients when all configurations are identical.
Until we can get this sorted out with Avast, if you encounter this issue you will need to manually clear the MWO Tournament Client from the Avast quarantine list.

Removing the Tournament Client from your Avast quarantine:
1) Right-click the Avast icon in your Window taskbar, next to the Windows clock
2) Click "Virus Chest"
3) Find MWOClient.exe in the list
4) Right-click it and select "Restore and add to exceptions"

Performance Drops


You may see some momentary drops in performance when loading into a map for the first time after patching. The drops you're seeing are likely caused due to some shader changes in this patch, partly related to the Decal release, that may be affecting your frames.

Performance should even out for you once the shaders are repopulated.
