Please post here if you hate the Locusts nerfs, even if you already posted on the other threads. Let's make this as visible and big as possible. Thanks.

Poor little critter was just too OP, apparently. I blame the AssaultWarriors.

The biggest thing about lolcust now is the sheer difficulty to kill. Pop out hit something and disappear before most of your dmg registers to it. It got some defensive nerf to counter it but most of them didn't need an offensive nerf

just now they have to Fear lasers abit more,(ACs usually killed you 1 shot, if they hit)

1v is not niche, it's a mech with only one useful hardpoint, that's what it is.
And about being difficult to kill, you don't fix HSR issues by killing underperforming mechs.

But it's not hard to kill. I hate to break it to you, but you are just inept. It's not an insult and it's something you can certainly fix, but what you are encountering are good players who would kill you dead even if they were playing a Mist Lynx or any other Light.
If you are really having a hard time with Locusts and aren't averse to Clan 'Mechs, bring a couple Streak-6 launchers on your builds.

This is how I feel, I rarely see Locust's get legged anyways, if they do it was due to they stood still majority of the time, few times it is while moving and a laser or really lucky projectile gets the leg. I was expecting them to take a 5-10% acceleration and deceleration nerf but they went with making the legs easier to get which is fine, but, won't help most players, just makes the Locust more knife edge against other lights.

it amuses me when assault noobs think that having a hundred tons is going to keep them from being splattered in a very amusing way.
its kind of why i think calls for "wait for the assaults" or "go to the assaults" are kind of silly, because 9/10 that assault pilot is going to die in a very stupid way with a very low score. you are better off sticking with the heavies, because they at least have the ability to move and fight lights that try to screw with them. assault pilots are like the bass players of mechwarrior. every once in awhile you will get a lemmy, but most of the time you just get some scrub who wants to be in a band in lieu of actual talent.

And I hate lights.
But nerfing the Bug like this is just dumber than hell. Like the Catapult nerf. Again.

Yeah, I agree. Nerfing Locusts because they're OP is like nerfing OP LRMs. I hate to say it, but get good you Locust haters. If I can 1 shot Locusts in my Locust with a 24 point laser alpha, you can do it in your heavy with a 60 point alpha.
I liked the new Catapult. They're tough and powerful with SRMs, but only good at that one thing. They're like a 12SPL Nova or Brawler Atlas. You better kill that slow thing before it gets close, or you're getting wrecked in a quick fashion. I think we need more mechs with character like that.
note: I've never had a Catapult, but have been wrecked by many, and I still think they should have been left alone.

I'm an AssaultWarrior and I do not approve of this nerf. I'd pat the Locust on the back for some comfort and reassurance if it wouldn't cause it to explode into a fireball.

I was very disappointed. The Locusts were USELESS; the Shadowhawks were saddening; the Battlemasters were mediocre in the Pop-tarting days; so the only satisfactory mech in the pack was the Thunderbolt.
It felt like a waste of money. A while later I quit the game.
I returned a few weeks ago to find a completely new game. Gone are the pop-tarts, Battlemasters are very "competitive" in Quick Play, Thunderbolts are great and the Locust improved from complete garbage to THE MOST FUN I ever had in a light mech. I used to hate playing light mechs. The new Locust made me love it.
It only took them years, but they made the Phoenix Project pack not feel like a complete waste of money. I was now happy with the game. I began playing every day again.
And then this NERF happens.
This kills my confidence in the game again. MWO is just like every other MMO game out there: they take meaningless raw statistical data without analysis of intelligence, testimony of veteran players, game mechanics, and simply NERF whatever is popular, then deceitfully call it "balance".
So people jump from one thing to the next new thing and in the end everything gets nerfed eventually anyway, so anything you INVEST in is a LOSING INVESTMENT. Got it. Message understood. I will not spend any more money in this game.

Well, just pretend that there are no quirks so a 'Mech you see in the mechlab is what it is. Now pick a 'Mech which is inherently good in design because it would be better for long term. PGI could still theoretically screw them though, by giving negative quirks or nerfing their inherent attributes like max. turning angle etc. for example (and the recent rescale) but it's far less likely to happen compared to the ups and downs of quirk change,

To nerf the 1V requires an amount of asininess that just takes away from me any kind of rational thought.
I'm done spending money on a game in which the devs are so prone on killing a mech with which getting a 500 damage 2 kill game feels like a 1k damage 6 kill game with another mech.
Edit: this is not about the mech being good. It's about it being FUN. I loved my ER-LL 1V because it was fun. Now it has nothing. Just put a LPL on it and do what you do with all other mechs in the game.

I have a feeling the smaller size meant that the ticks of lasers were probably affected by a similar percentage as the nerfs (give or take a bit)/ BUT I have zero proof neither does the nerf saltines.
For some bizarre reason a 5% nerf on some mechs i sthe same as a 35% nerf on others. Folks stop reading and thinking after NERF.
Just find what works best now and exploit the hell out of it.
