Was fooling around with the mechs in the shop...

Opened up the non-champion Raven-3L... removed the single heatsink in its head and saw this:

Seismic Sensor <Equipment> 6,000,000 CBills
Not the module.

No, I did not photoshop the screenshot in any way.

Interesting.

Perhaps something prepared for the upcoming information warfare?

Yeah how long has that been coming...

We've even lost the information of where mechs are pointing on a map.

Cool. I'm glad to see it going this route. Some modules are without a doubt more powerful than some for-tonnage equipment like the CC, and making the modules like seismic a weighted equipment rather than a module reflects that advantage.

Giving the modules tonnage and crit-slot cost would be a good thing.

(Consumables too. Coolant pods are a thing in Battletech, the UAVs could take up critslots and tonnage too, not sure how to handle artillery/air strikes though)

Amusingly... seismic sensors are part of BAP by lore. Not that PGI has you know ever read a battletech tech manual or visited sarna.

Store: Fixed an issue where accessing the 'View in MechLab' option for the Raven RVN-3L would cause a Seismic Sensor item to appear in the Head after removing an equipped item.

...what a weird bug.

I wonder if it was just doing that due to scrolling over the sensor block of the head.

some of these pop up elements arent properly destroyed when their context is hidden or destroyed. ive had some mechlab tool tips appear throughout the game. pgi ui coders need to tie up more loose ends.
