What Is The Status Of The Average Forum Warrior ?

How many still play regular, on a free or using up premium.
Or how many, just come here to rage and say rude things about P.G.I and other forum users, because they still play the game.
This isn't to judge, though I'm sure there will be people that try to burn people for having different views, because it always happens.
I was just wondering, and thought I'd make an attempt to find out, how many are gone, how many actively help keep the servers running, and how many like my self are still here, because they can't make up their own damn minds, or break the Mech addiction.
Start of the week, I felt I wasn't being fair in my views and had re ordered mechs I'd either not bothered with or cancelled, this latest outbreak of whatever you want to call it, has killed that feeling and had me cancel again for the last time, I have a month to decide if i'm going to cancel the Cyclops as well, way I'm currently feeling it will happen, because i've zero confidence that P.G.I can turn it around, with the latest choices they have made.

However, I do plan to return...eventually. I'm just sticking around, trying to look for the right moment to reignite my interest to drop in and shoot giant stompy robbits. I'm still waiting though, because there haven't really been many changes in this game to be enthusiastic about. In the meantime, I keep myself informed about the news going on with the game, and test out any particularly important gameplay changes.
For the question about free vs. premium, I haven't bought anything since the Urbie pack. Nothing has really caught my interest, and I guess I'm also attempting to vote with my wallet.
In summary, my passion is basically...gone for the time being.

Get event rewards done and then gtfo.
Once in a while, I'll play for fun... but I have fun doing other stuff (specifically other games), so meh.
Last thing I bought was Clan Pack Wave 3... which while I kinda regret, I do use the Arctic Cheetah practically all day every day.
There's nothing of consequence to do in this game... not even FW at random.

Hold off from the recent mechs pack, as I am interested in IS chassis.
Also brought way too many mechs pack and still grinding them up to Master.
My supply of MC nearing enemy and will buy more at the next MC sales or if I totally ran out, whichever come first.

I still play at least two hours in a day, four times a week.
I used to play for eight hours a day, almost everyday.. but that was back when FP didn't have Long Tom and our minimap allowed us to coordinate team mates.
PGI won't get another dime out of this guy. I've already put away my wallet and went to the closet to grab the old torch and pitchfork.

I used to play free only years ago when the game was in beta, later I bought a few mech packs because there were a few of my favorite mechs in them that also happened to be pretty good and I don't have any regrets on it.
Last thing I bought was the Kodiak, I don't get all the packs because I don't actually want half the mechs that come out, at least not so much that I can't just pick them up for free a few months after release.
I'm still sitting pretty on premium time from some packs I bought like 2 years ago though.

Will maybe get some games in this week to try out the Viper (the last pack i'm buying), who knows maybe the Viper will rekindle my love of MWO.

As a side note: I usually only interact with friends who never visit the forum, actually I'm only one of a few of the rather large bunch of folks in my TS circle who do visit the forum, and I've noticed that the ones who almost never visit the forums use substantially different mindsets when discussing the game, usually more in touch with the current meta, more creative builds, and more informative opinions on mech and weapon performance... They also play more often and have more positive attitudes then those who do frequent the forums.

At this point I've contributed as much as I'm going to at this point, and for the foreseeable future based on the direction PGI went. Throw in numerous faux pas that seem to come in a steady stream and I'm constantly receiving reinforcement NOT to spend any further.
The latest Forum goings on does nothing to change my position. I've spent enough, and will enjoy it on occasion when my friends play from now on.

Last pack I brought was the basic Kodiak. Normally I buy full packs to support the game.
Im starting to find myself looking at other games, MWO doesnt seem to be going anywhere which is a real shame as I have been fascinated with BTech since I first played the Crescent Hawks games way back when and read my first BTech book around the same time.

Honestly, I still really enjoy MW:O. I just hate the morons that do something that they consider playing but I considering wasting my time. The game isn't the "thinking man's shooter" that was marketed to me and I'm tired of jumping into the same maps game after game after game. 4 years of development and we have 10 maps? Maybe 12? If you do scouting, it's on those same 12 maps. If you do faction warfare, most of the maps are just bigger extrapolations of the maps we currently have and the game play is the exact same. I like it, I'm just tired of the vanilla vanilla.

That said I will not be buying another mech pack, MC or otherwise. I got the tourney supporter as the last in-game/real cash purchase. I've still got around 14k MC (from being a leg founder, that never played until late last year). So that'll keep me going and get me mechbays as needed.
To me Phase 3 was a horribly big let down, it literally was zero improvement in my eyes. It delivered a new game mode which was in a way good, but removing multi-lanes just killed the population/point of playing for larger units. The Tournament is also not helping the game at all, and IMO, is poorly thought out way of doing it. 80 something games for US Teams? Stupid.
That said I still enjoy the game (FP) mode and more so the people that play in it. I very rarely quick play anymore unless I get a new mech I wanna exp out easy/fast. Solo dropping, punch out a rack of 500+dmg games and you can elite a mech in a matter of an hour generally speaking.
If it wasn't for the characters in the TS's/FP drops and of course the legends that are the 54MR, I would probably have stopped playing. So even in a somewhat boring game mode, you can still have a hell of a lotta fun with some good banter between team mates and the enemy.
