"Haters gonna hate"

"Its not meta, its fun"

"Supreme"

"Since 2012"

"Hard to handle"

"Runs Hot"

"DAKKA DAKKA"

"Pew Pew"

"Swoosh Swoosh Swoosh"

"Clan Buster"

"Die Clanner"

"The Harbinger"

"Remember Tukyaid"

All of the achievements should give you a decal in a quote form

Star Col Malthus's Face tattoo

Decals of mechs, you know, small ones.

A lit cigar or ciggarette to put on the side of a cockpit

Shades, mechs need shades.

Decals of countries names

Decals of countries flags

Decals of the Dev teams faces

obviously numbers, and letters and dashes and dots

then Penises and **** yous.

then a option to enable or disable decal viewing so cry babies dont get hurt.

A decal for every Clan. (Excepting the Clan that shall not be named) I'd finally be able to pretend I was a Diamond Shark member, even without them being a faction.

I wouldn't mind a simple (or stylized) Maple Leaf or something.

Maybe also those shield decals that we have, but filled out completely, instead of the partial ones we have now?

This please... Want to slap some Crosses on my Crusader mechs and Crusade around the Inner Sphere dishing out some peace and justice. Also, I think it was a separate thread but I too feel the decals need to be simplified with basic design and stencil type outlines in order to better stand out and more easily observe (except for maybe intricate lore unit logos).

You guys could also just pull some famous tail art from USN, USAF, fighter squadrons. Other military insignia, ranks, numerals are a given and the earned badges from purchases everyone keeps mentioning should be implemented post haste. Savvy?

No, Clan Wolverine has to be there too.

Or did you mean Clan Widowmaker? Those guys were a-holes.

Not going to skim through 11 pages, but if it hasn't been said already...

Colorable angel wings (just one wing, to be able to flip so you can have matching ones on each side)

I can think of quite a few mechs i would put this on...

salt shaker / NA sodium symbol

10/10 would buy.

Maybe also a seal, so I could do up a seal clubbing combo.

It should be a standar that when we pay those bucks for the mechs packs we got those forum only badges as decals for the chasis you're buying, PGI can make those chasis specific if they want, but this, lads, should be a standart!!!

Thoses badges are horrible in forum..

Decals look like nice in mechlab and for some look like horrible ingame.

You know, I remember when we didn't have to bow down to the PC police...

Whatever happened to "Online Interactions not rated by the ESRB"?

Give us numbers, give us letters, we already have people making male genitalia with the default icon's we were initially given... there's literally nothing to protect anymore. Just go ham with it, and "let god sort em out" as the old saying goes.

We also have people shouting abuse over VOIP, so let's remove the rules that says they aren't supposed to do that.

I used to play an MMO WW2 Flight Simulator. For that game players that formed squadrons could upload an image (of a specific format, size and color depth) to the company admins. They would review it and if it was acceptable (both for content and file specifications), they would roll it out to be downloaded by the clients. Anyone that was part of the squadron would then have that 'decal' show up on their aircraft (in a pre-determined location).

I'd love to see something like this in MWO. The uploaded decals could then also be available to non-unit players as well. PGI could set forward some criteria (size, color depth, format, inappropriate content, etc) and when they roll out a patch make the decal updates part of the patch. They could even give the caveat that submitting a decal does not mean it will be automatically added to the game. It gives them the final say so, would take very few cycles to manage (they just have to approve/disapprove them, then package with patch) and would let players feel a certain amount of buy-in to the game. It sounds like a win-win, no?

NOTE: The company that created and managed the game I am referring to is considerably smaller and does not have the resources that PGI has, but still managed to pull this off seamlessly.

I would like to have Celtic knots as decals. There are many to choose from, and I tried to find some good examples. The complexity can be easily adjusted by adding twists and turns. The styles of knots I would like to see are circled in green

And also have one these so I can put in on the top design of the firebrand (which is what I thought it was initially)

Other ones I would like include the other clans both present in the timeline, and the ones that have been absorbed/destroyed, Steiner-Davion, numbers, and rank insignia.

i have the john paul jones celtic knot tattoo'd on me. Posted Image

I suggested something like that a few pages up, but in way less eloquent words !

Mainly the hound skull, but you can grab a lot of ideas, kill counts, ejection ports, cut here in case of emergency... but god, oh god how much i want that skull on my atlas (extra points for lore friendly considering Kell Hounds ).

Also maybe decals should not apply in the cockpit areas.

You know what you should ask the original artist and ask for the original and offer him some mc in exchange.

DeviantArt? Not a good choice of place to upload stuff.
