A simple question, what mech will be next? Considering the run of Clan mechs has finished with the Linebacker, what will we get?

You get two answers.

1. Which mech/weight class you believe will be next

2. Which mech/weight class you want to be next.

(Secondary picks are allowed, =P)

I think we'll be getting another Unseen, which one I'm not sure. I'd bet on the Crusader or the Longbow because Lights tend to get overlooked.

My personal preference is likely well known, I want the Nightstar but I'd also be happy with the Assassin.

It probably won't be a light.

I think that it could easily be an IS mech, given that a lot of the active preorders are Clan (Viper, Night Gyr, Huntsman, Linebacker), while only the Cyclops is on IS preorder.

Actually, given PGIs track record of complete lack of self awareness? Now would be the PERFECT time for them to release a Light Mech Pack. With all the apathy, forum rage, need whining, etc about Lights? It's just about as perfect an environment for such an announcement as when they decided to announce Transverse!

Frankly, if they're going to, I'd prefer that they pick either the Lolcust IIC or Fire Falcon since those two stand the most chance of being okay (with a greater emphasis on the former due to way higher engine cap).

With that argument in mind, they would probably drop a Wasp or something and make it Commando size. :\

I think if they are ever going to release another light mech it needs to be now. So, I am hoping Wasp or Stinger. I am going pretend I don't know better and say they will release one of those two next.

I would buy the Locust IIC. But I would buy the Wasp or Stinger too...so my opinion probably doesn't count

Which is why I'm assuming it'll be something near useless.... Because PGI.

That means they'll buff Lights when that hypothetical Light package ships, right? But only for that one 'Mech.

I'm thinking a 2-pack Stinger and Wasp combo. Both are very similar, so the modeling could be done simultaneously. $20 gets you 3 of each, $15 for 2 heros (1 of each) and $15 for reinforcements. So you could buy 12 humanoid 20-tonners for $50.

Not a light for sure, those are going the way of the robo-dodo in MWO. Still, the theory that they will indeed release a light now because it makes the least sense is starting to grow on me...

Most likely a Clan Light, due to the imbalance between the number of ingame Clan mechs and the number of IS mechs. what those will be, I haven't the faintest idea.
