I'm not sure who to credit with this apt description of our understanding of how things work around here, but when I read it I instantly understood what it meant.

So, to whomever penned this, all credit is yours. My first iteration probably lacks some salient areas on the board, but I give you;

THE DART BOARD of DESTINY

(or Mech production/quirks as understood by the Underhive)

Dartboard concept has been around since probably closed Beta, definite Open Beta, along with the Nerfinator. And it's definitely apt. You have Joss Whedon to thank for the "Destiny" part though. (see: Glowstick of Destiny, the Avengers)

They do not use darts.
They use Velcro sticky balls and the board is 3m * 3m big.

Then they throw the balls sitting with the back to the board.
The most sophisticated RNG in existence.

Nice. Where is the random gauss cooldown quirk? Applicable to all mechs, even the mechs without ballistic hardpoints.

To be fair. The Command Wheel was exactly as most of us expected it to be. Medicore. Posted Image

Also. Am I the only one who thinks that THE DARTBOARD OF DESTINY sounds incredibly epic?

They quickly discovered that this was a much more office friendly method. Barring the odd wild throw landing in someones shoulder of course.
