Actually there is very little reason to pick even 2 CUAC10s right now. My dual CUAC10 HBK-IIC overheated within seconds. Gonna have to wait for the patch to run it again.

Try it after the hot fix

Multiplier from 1 to 15?? Thats an insanely huge change. I guess the 3 UAC10 Night Gyr never deserved a chance at life..

Paul, why such a huge change?

Just put 4x UAC5 with 10 tons of ammo on it and everything is fine.

Slightly different play style but yeah that is still an option.

As I mentioned earlier.. it's to properly align the weapon's multiplier to correctly fall between the C-UAC5 and the C-UAC20. As for 3 UAC10's, the minimum heat penalty value for this weapon is set to 4 and has been that way since the weapon's introduction to the game. This means you can fire 3 simultaneously and not take a heat penalty of any kind. That Night Gyr is fine.

And for others, the fix for this is not an XML change or value change, it is about setting each unique weapon fired to a properly stacked queue so that the double tap will never act as a simultaneous shot with another weapon of the same type.

Really? Smurfy's says ghost heat starts at 3... so that is false?

I will test it when I get home tonight. I hope you are right!

Ok, if you read the patch notes then you know there was a fix issued for firing 3+ UAC10s (rip quad UAC10 Kdk3 aka: Skill Bear).

However, I was doing some testing pre-hot fix and noticed that simply double tapping 2x UAC10s would sometimes trigger ghost heat.

Tested on frozen city - sometimes firing a double tap of just two UAC10s would send me into the 40% heat range.

Only seemed to happen on very quick double taps, however the problem was not repeatable.

Ghost heat limit is 2 per 0.5 seconds, double tapping too quickly fires 4 shots within 0.5 seconds triggering ghost heat. Now if you want to put your 80 points of damage out you need to split it into 4 shots spaced out 0.5 seconds each, so it takes a little over 1.5 seconds to get out the full blast.

This really was the nerf the Kodiak 3 needed in regards to quad UAC10, now it can't just double tap its damage with all 4 guns and not overheat and push out 80 damage in half a second.

0.5 seconds after the first 'bullet' is fired; the duration of the bursts does not count, so time it for 0.55 seconds later for your double tap to skip out on ghost heat.

The hot fix will fix that though, you can double tap all you want.

Thank you for the clarification. I was about to refund the Gyr today.

Please note that Smurfy has listed the uac10 as having a small (less than 1 extra ghost heat) since it was added.

It was updated after the patch to show 8.1 extra ghost heat for firing three.

Thank you for the communication.

Hugely appreciated.

A change that was made a long time ago to AC2 cooldowns so a single AC2 wouldn't give itself ghost heat.......was fixed a long time ago by nerfing it's cooldown.

They were also never given cooldown modules because of the same reason. Since they are no longer on the chart for ghost heat, any chance of getting them their old rof OR get some cooldown modules?

Smurfys says:
1x UAC10: 3.00
2x UAC10: 6.00
3x UAC10: 17.10
4x UAC10: 33.60

Where is this coming from?

Night Gyr is not fine right now.

Just tested heat of 2xUAC10 and 3xUAC10.
Smurfy is right you get ghost heat for 3xUAC10.

Fireing 2xUAC10 pushes you up to 7% heat
Fireing 3xUAC10 pushes you up to 25% heat
(no double-tapping with 16 DHS on KDK-3 on Forest Colony)

If there was no Ghost Heat 3xUAC10 should move you up to something like 10-11% heat only

Or duo lbx20/uac20 in arms with laservomit as backup.

So... is ghost heat at 3 UAC10s a bug then? Should it be 4+?

Well according to Paul yes.
Only 4 UAC10 should trigger Ghost Heat.

If the lead designer says it should start at 4, it sounds like ghost heat at 3 is a bug and should be fixed ASAP!! Or at least before the Night Gyr drops Posted Image

Doesnt matter.
Paul said 4 UAC10 should trigger ghost heat since the introduction of the weapon and was never changed.
