I'm waiting for the first person to get pissed when they ask for a refund and watch 6.5 million leave their coffer, and then ask to revert the refund.
Look, you can only preorder 1 hero and 1 set of reinforcements. Nothing has changed. You still cannot duplicate them.

My refund is being processed as we speak, trust me I wouldn't care (not that i had the pre-order bonus anyway).

Are you requesting a refund because you cannot buy more than one hero and more than one set of reinforcements? Because you knew that when you place your order.
You can buy one hero and one set of reinforcements. You want to clone them with pods. You can't

That's some F'ing bullsh*t and you know it. Because you can't properly code your game I now can't buy additional omni-pods I want to run my Vipers properly?
Guess what if you as a company FAILED to program it correctly than bite the damned bullet and let people buy the omni-pods than do it CORRECTLY the next time around. Don't punish your customers because you screwed up.
You failed, not us.
And seriously whats the big deal with letting people that didn't buy the reinforcement mechs buy the pods ahead of time? It's not like when the mechs DO come out they will need to purchase the actual mech to get the pods.. You can just buy the pods. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO??? how does it make sense?
People who paid for the reinforcements paid an extra $15 for early access to those pods and Mechs. If they let you use those pods without paying for them, who would pay the extra $15? Your attitude is ******* ******** (And you know it) if you get pissed not having access to exclusive content you did not pay for.
And yes, I have this perspective because I bought the Viper C/D, and when I learned that friends who bought the standard pack had access to the C/D pods, I was upset: not because they could use them, but because I paid $15 when I didn't have to. I actually emailed them to get the official position on this (since it is not spelled out in the FAQs for the Mechs) so I could start the refund process on the Linebacker and Huntsman.
I don't like the current situation, but at least I have my C/D pods and the few extras I bought in game with CBills. Hopefully they can figure out how to allow me to buy more C/D pods if I want them in game for the next several months before CBill release.

That said, I disagree with PGI's decision to cut off players from omnipods they can't keep to those that paid for them, but I do understand it. Heck, I checked the box of the ToS, I have to deal with it, and with the current state of the Viper, I think my $35 was still worth it. (But if I can't cannibalize the mechs I do own for my builds when I get home, that opinion will take a 180.)

It isn't the whole Mech people are put off about, Prosperity, it is the flexibility of the Omni-Pods... something that the other Clan Mechs have had available from injection onward. You own that chassis, you can buy those Omni-Pods. That is the expectation when you make a purchase for the Clan Mechs. It is holding back the same flexibility that the other Clan Mechs have enjoyed.
Worse, though, is the injection of a purchase nullifying the opportunity to get a refund. If PGI knew this limitation was in place beforehand and still went ahead like everything was fine... only to 'discover' a bug after people had injected content and completed their sale, that is shady business. Especially on a pack with a new Terms of Service consent request.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Sader's refund, if he actually gets it or not.

There was an error with the MechLab Warehouse after the patch that caused the OmniPods for all Viper variants to appear for direct purchase for all Viper owners, including those of the Medusa and Reinforcement variants. The issue with this is that if you only owned the Standard or Collector Pack, but not the Hero or the Reinforcements, you could simply purchase the OmniPods of those variants and equip them onto one of your owned variants (excluding the CT).
The initial fix for this mornings issue involved the removal of all Viper OmniPods from the in-game Warehouse, which is why you no longer saw them available for direct purchase.
With the way the in-game Warehouse system works right now we unfortunately can't restrict OmniPod availability per-user according to their owned variants. In other words we can't activate VPR-M OmniPods solely for owners of the Medusa.
While we can't make the Hero and Reinforcement OmniPods available for purchase in-game for the above reason, the VPR-Prime, VPR-A, and VPR-B OmniPods are now available again for direct in-game purchase by owners of the Standard or Collector Packs.
Every Viper owner has those three variants; there is no need to limit the acquisition of their OmniPods.
Unfortunately, the VPR-C, VPR-D, and VPR-M OmniPods will not become available for direct in-game purchase until those 'Mechs release in-game for purchase, regardless of whether you own the associated Hero or Reinforcement Add-On.
I will be following up here to examine if it's feasible for us to introduce per-user ownership filtering for the in-game Warehouse in the future, to allow for OmniPod purchasing by owners of the associated variants.
tl;dr
The VPR-Prime, VPR-A, and VPR-B OmniPods are now available for direct purchase in-game.
The VPR-C, VPR-D, and VPR-M OmniPods won't become available for direct purchase until the Viper 'Mechs themselves release for direct purchase in-game.
This problem has existed since gift store variants (such as the TBR-A and DWF-S) came into existence. It was brought up then, it's galling that it hasn't been addressed by now. Especially with the introduction of omnimech heroes, it really needs to get addressed.

FYI I did buy the whole package because I like the mech, I still think it's BS that if you bought them you can't get the pods. If your forking out 15 bucks just for earlier access to PODS? I dunno seems like a crappy purchase on your part because again when the mechs land for c-bills you wont have to actually buy a Viper C to get all the Viper C omni-pods you want.
It's also sum pure laziness to not be able to put in some sorta coding that allows omnipods to show up for purchase early (for instance pods of reinforcements and what have you) The game knows you own them, it friggin injected them into your account and it's ALREADY letting us buy the basic pods if you own the vipers so clearly there is some sorta trigger in there already. (I dont remember much C++ but wouldn't some simple IF/thans solve this? IF Vpr-C present allow purchase of vpr c parts?)
Hell I thought I got the game to bug out messing with my Viper C without the arm, the pod showed up again but when I went to save it errored out sadly.

This. For the love of god, people, you got what you paid for. Nothing more, nothing less. I dont see why you should get access to more (Medusa/C/D pods) than you PAID for. Medusa pods shouldnt even be made available if you dont own the hero.
I am really getting sick and tired of stupid, uneducated and over entitled kids whining in these forums. YOU are all that is wrong with this game and these boards. STFU, grow up and learn some manners, because you know what: nobody owes you anything. Or refund your silly 20 bucks (as if that is even an amount worth thinking twice about lol) and then ****** leave, your behaviour is a cancer in here that nobody needs nor wants.

If that was already mentioned in the FAQ, I missed it - my fault. But if future omni mechs will follow the same pod / quirk rule I will no longer buy any omni.
Seems to me that PGI just again went the easy way, much easier to balance if people stick to the original pod layout. Sigh.

Ok, Give me a refund.
This issue has been well known for a long time, there is also a No Refund on Delivered goods Policy so i dont get how you claim you are getting a refund. Unless PGI has change their Policy.
