With the overcorrected ghost heat I find the giant a bit more vulnerable...Big target requiring more face time to do damage...

Might just be my weak skills, but anyone have success with other builds that have less ghost heat- 4 X UAC5's + ML's, 4 X LBX -10's, etc?

Thanks.

Dual gauss & dual PPC is largely unaffected by this change and is the other main build.

Waiting for a Hot Fix before I change anything myself but the 4X Ultra AC/5 dose well DPS wise and leaves you with tonnage for backup weapons.

Just swap the UAC10s for LBX10s, add some small or med Lasers, and off you go. I managed to get several 1000+ DMG Rounds out of this.

I use 4UAC5 + 4ml because i'm too cheap to buy the smaller engine, It's still absolutely amazing. If spaced correctly, you can just keep on firing left, right, left, right, left, right, left forever.

I use 2 UAC5s and 2 UAC10s with an XL375 and 4 SPSs for back up. I've used it since day 1 and I love it.

Good builds.
Of course I'm curious about the odd one- 4 X LBX-10. Looks like fun but has anyone besides the the post above had any luck with it?

KDK-3
Might give that a try later if I feel like c-bill gambling for the smaller engine. Looks like a laugh

EDIT: Obviously not with LB-20X ammo for LB-10X cannons, and not with that armour distribution, but anyway

4X Ultra AC/10s are still killer combo but I would Ultra AC/5 build if you have trouble managing heat or want more range.

It's the only KDK-3 build I run (well it has 4 SL as well, but those are purely back ups and to help deter lights).

Averaging 653 damage per match over 154 matches in this build, 758 over the course of this weekend in particular according to that page of data.

I still run the 4uac10s. I was always stagger firing anyway because I didn't know there was a ghost heat bug. If anything, it runs colder for me now since I always doubletap uacs... It still puts up 700-1000 damage for me. Had a match earlier today on caustic and got 6 kmdds with 1 kill and 10 assists 850-ish damage. Ran out of ammo, but I refuse to drop below the stock engine.

Quad LB10s are my favorite. In qp i carry 8 tons of ammo and keep the 400XL. It's a shredfest.

I've been having more success with a quad LB10X than with the quad UAC10 build ... I did swap the engine for a lower one, and I put some ERSLs in there for "bug swatting".

Keep in mind that I'm still relatively new, and that I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm averaging 700 damage per match in SoloPUGs ... damage is spread, but it works nicely.

I have experimented with Targeting Comps too, the velocity and crit bonuses work for me, but that might be observer bias.

Here's my loadout :
