That said, I'm genuinely surprised to see the Cicada so high.

That's where builds like HBK-IIC (3xC-LPL) or Shadowcat (2xC-LPL) could shine. Stay back 600 meters and farm damage.
IS mediums can't really compete at that range. (3xERLL is heavier than 2xC-LPL and has a longer duration).
That does not mean the HBK-IIC and Shadowcat are the best in every scenario.
In scouting they get chewed by super-quirked IS brawlers. No matter the loadout, they cannot outbrawl a HBK-4SP.
In a 1vs1 situation I would bet on a Wolverine or even a Trebuchet rather than the Shadowcat.

Clan still OP plz nerf?
Seriously, thanks for your work! I'm honestly happy with the HBK-IIC performing so well because it's unquirked! Now we have a legit baseline medium 'Mech for the other Mediums to be compared to/with (not sure about the correct preposition English is hard).

But in group queue? Scouting? Invasion? You can push with DPS/brawling mechs and mop the floor with campers.
I refuse to acknowledge CW as a playable product. But group que, really? I see no more coordination there than solo que.

Actually HBK-IIC-B with 4xASRM6 + 2 SPLs can outbrawl even the HBK-4SP, provided both players are competent.

It's a good thing you have a team then, the 4SP is great for leading a push and getting people to waste shots on it, but that is in a coordinated environment.
