I tried to get mounted lantern item from free crate/key. I got a clan erppc. I will never buy these keys. I don't care how many cbills these things are worth. I get cbills just from playing the game, I won't spend mc on cbills. I guess the whole crate thing is just not for me.

It would explain why Tina didn't want to share information regarding % on supply cache prizes.

Either we're all really bad at rolling the dice on these supply caches and getting the same garbage from the same caches by accident... or there is in fact no RNG involved and PGI doesn't want to tell us only to sell more keys and blind us with a "grand prize" that we'll either never get or incredibly rare to obtain (i.e. the "perfect" supply cache).


Until then, keep posting your results from what caches you get and open.

Each item in the cache probably has a different probability of success depending on its value.

Therefore, if you have 3 exact same caches, it is highly likely you will get the exact same item i.e. the highest probability item unless there are 2 or more items of similar probability.

Pretty certain it is not 1/8 for each item. Also pretty certain it is not pre-set e.g. cache XYZ does not automatically give you item 4.

With respect to the topic - have 9 caches, have not bothered opening any because there is nothing I really want. Have not sold them because I do not need the C-Bills at the moment.

Hint to PGI: Skins, colours or unique skinned weapons would be more enticing to me especially if they were cache exclusive. Only thing I find remotely interesting/attractive in the caches I got are the MC only items.

Yep, exact same thing happened to me. I actually came to rest for a full 3 seconds on the mech. I was like fist pumping and yelling and everything then like magic, it ticked over and I won 100k. It was kind of like those movies where they are playing roulette and the ball rest in the winning slot, only to have the dealer or whatever you call them, hit the button to pop the ball back out of the slot. One thing it did do was totally convince me to not spend MC to buy keys.

I had this too.. Kit Fox C Right Arms for me. Being blatantly SCAMMED is not something I can forgive PGI for. Therefore, my message to PGI is NO MORE MONEY for ANYTHING, EVER.

No one ever said anything about a 1/8 chance. Tina actually stated in a different thread that the chances for the items are distributed uneven (as one would expect). It's a lottery. It is like the CS boxes. Getting a win out of one requires major luck. My guess would be that it is statistically likely to get a mech when you spend about its price in MC for keys.

Yeah, it's horribly disingenuous.
If it was like a wheel of fortune kind of thing, with like... a 100 tiles (let's say as an example) one of them being a the grand prize, like 5 of them being a decent prize, 10 of them slightly worse, 20 of them slightly worse, etc etc, it'd be at least more honest.
