Decals For Massive Xp Mechs

I have a handful of go to mechs that have racked up 3,4 hundred thousand xp and there should be decals that illustrate as such..
That way its a decal that actually means something .
THey should also be free as by default it illustrates ongoing support for the game.

However, I don't think they should be free. Decals are a completely optional cosmetic system and revenue stream. Limited edition decals available to folks based on their involvement or achievement in the game (e.g. founders decals available to founders or mech mastery decal for folks who have fully unlocked a specific variant) are a cool idea. Decals though aren't that expensive so I think these should be issued with the same cost as other decals but with availability limited by the requirements for the decal. The main problem with this approach is that it would probably need some significant additional code since you would need to check whether certain mechs are eligible for certain decals. At the purchase level, you would need code to check if the player was eligible to purchase certain decals ... but in the long run I think both enhancements are probably worthwhile.

decals, a simple thing that PGI had to screw up again. First product of PGI I spent cash on and unless there is a major change it will be the last. Already I do boycott all EA and Ubisoft products and now added to the list is PGI. Of course if one of the 3 puts out a quality product then I might rethink my position but for the moment none of these companies offer a redeeming product.

You are a very veteran player and much better mechwarrior than I but come on, we never get cool stuff FOR FREE.

So, you've been enjoying MWO without any monetary support for the game for 4 years before spending on decals?
The reason development has been slow is that they are a small studio that actually has to manage their development cycle based on what revenue they generate. MWO is a smaller niche product that doesn't benefit if its cash flow is small. Game is a lot better than it was in 2014. Without people spending money they can't increase their development staff to speed content production/revision.
I'm just not a fan of F2P, but its your choice to do as you wish.

I been playing since Closed Beta, enjoying that is a strong statement and I did spent quite lots of cash in hope of... well a Mechwarrior game not an arena shooter.
I too I`m no fan of F2P games but for Mechwarrior there is no alternative out there ( Hawken is same as MWO but faster, upcoming Heavy Gear Assault is not true to lore )

Idea is good, but that wouldn't make PGI any money, so..not gonna happen.

With a 1.1 mil XP on my founder 'pult, I'd drop a couple bucks if they make a good decal that looks like the rest of my mech, all beat to hell.
