I'm sure most of us that play MWO either grew up playing BattleTech games and their spinoffs (MechAssault wasn't THAT bad.. but it did lead me to play MW 1-4 after learning it was based off of BT) or have only played MWO, but have done research about the lore of the BT universe, particularly on equipment and mechs. If you haven't done either of these, at least do a little research on the weapons and equipment; there's a lot of cool s*** MWO doesn't have.

Now, rather than go into all sorts of detail, I'll just pop the questions.

Should PGI abandon the timeline entirely and focus on diversifying the game with new equipment and shiny new mechs (they certainly make money) rather than trying to break up the current "meta" through quirks and trying to theorize Ghost (Spooky) Heat 2.0? Or do you think they should stick to the current time and continue to try to balance and improve the game as is?
