I was hyped to play Caustic Valley for the 2nd time ever. It never gets picked, then I went to shootin'. Still waiting for Tier 4. Maybe one day.

Not epeening, just showing my experience again in a Jenner. Probably my favorite mech right now.

Nice work the the jenny. She's a good mech. I'm glad to see another light pilot. That's a lot of nice damage there. I'm in t3 and my jenner f uses xl 3oo,3 med laser,3 small pulse, two jump jets for moving over things, radar deprivation module, beagle active probe, and adv sensor range module.

Bravo on the damage.

You should probably set them to LA and RA groups and a chain fire group with all 6.

A video of the match would have been more interesting than an end-of-round screenshot.

L&R, possibly, that's pilot preference on SPLs, but if you're hot enough to want to chain fire, you're much better off hiding and cooling. Exposing such a fragile mech for chain fired SPLs is a bad exchange.

I enjoy the 6SPL JR7-F, but it's a suicide box against good players, no need to aggravate it. The only reasonable build vs skilled opposition is 6ML. And the same principle applies there: Don't even be seen unless you can fire a meaningful amount. Hann Solo, who taught me to play lights at a comp level, taught me primarily on the JR7-F and he said "If you can see me, I'm shooting you with 6 lasers." It's not 100% true, especially now, but it's the right way of thinking of it.

I'm don't miss too much so I try to put out as much damage as I can before death. I understand what you're saying though. The heat isn't hard to control.

It's more so you don't waste 3 of them if you're partially behind a building or whatever and you can always push both mouse buttons at the same time for an alpha.

You can get that hot on TT or Caustic while fighting other lights. It's not something you'll use often but there are a handful of situations where it's worth it. Granted in 90% of my matches 6ML is superior on the F especially with the cheato and firestarter being better knife fighting lights and the high mounted weapons on the jenner.

A long long time ago, in a beta far, far, away....

The Jenner was the best mech in the game.
Before the clan times...
Before the quirks...

They over-compensated to reduce the Jenner superiority, giving it marginal quirks, and never looked back after everything surpassed it.

Then they dropped the Oxide. In yet another brilliant display of PGI logic, they took the best light in the game and buffed it even more on the following quirk pass, while neglecting every other Jenner.

So, once again, they nerfed Jenner's across the board making the already poor neglected Jenner basically non-viable for competitive play. #pgiLogic
