I was hesitating to buy the Misery hero mech. Tomorrow I did and as soon as I got it I had a bad feeling: Buy something from PGI and next day there will be a discount/more MC etc. event.

No no no! I screwed up, didn't I?! Today I got here and what do I see? A friggin sale! But wait... This isn't the sale I'm interested in!
Hurray! Bullet dodged!

$99.95 buy, so far opened five caches... got an LB-10X which saves me 800k c-bills and I did want one for a mech build, and an advanced sensor range module, which is normally a 2 million c-bill purchase. Other three were omnipods for novas and hellbringer (which are mechs I own). I figured out the spinner pattern, kinda annoying that its so obvious. They might as well just eliminate the effect and go straight to the reward.

It's a ripoff. These supply caches ****ed up all future events and sales. Until now you got extra MC, or something concrete on these MC purchase sales. Now you get a few poker chips, which will probably transform into some ACs, or lasers.

Wonder what the drop chance is on the mechbays, or MC from those crates....Did anyone win them yet?

I've won a sensor module, 100MC, more keys, lots of weapons, a couple million cbills, and omni pods mostly for mechs I owned but also one for an ebon (which I do not own any of). At least one person has said they got a summoner-D.

Actually not a bad sale.
Although, i'm missing the "gambling can cause addiction" sticker.
The crates i opened so far always got me the lesser prizes. The c-bills value to MC was actually really good, tho.
Still sitting on a bunch of keys, just got zero luck winning crates (and indicator about my luck when i actually open a crate).

Almost got me PGI.. but only almost..

..still waiting for:

BOXING DAY SALE

and/or

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION SALE

(PS: i will very likely stockpile crates for the day you announce unqiue content or at least decals)

TL:DR -- Glad I held out on a MC purchase - Hehe, Thank You PGI! I was actually saving up for a MC conversion sale but I'll take this offer, along with the Viper personal challenge, even though I own no Viper's, this has turned out to be a good week! :)

Oh yeah, and I won a Sunder on Sunday, so yeah... to those saying supply caches are a ripoff and that they are nickle and diming you to death with their F2P and not P2W system. For one: why are you still playing. Secondly: Why are you still consistently complaining on the forums?

There are a plethora of games available to you, yet you're still here playing MW:O for FREE! I think that should say a lot about the progression of the game and the frequent changes, not to mention patches. I'm not talking about hotfixes, even though they happen. Most patches are real! Please, stop nit picking at PGI and enjoy the game. I certainly do even when my pug's rolled.

If you have constructive criticism there is a forum for your ideas, but to simply whine, moan and complain about this, and that. I do not understand it... Then again nowadays, you will always have those that complain just for the sake of complaining because it's the net. Go to the gym, swim, do whatever works for you to work through the stress in your life. Yet, for all that is holy -- don't come to a game of all places to take out your frustrations. It is a downer for me personally because I enjoy playing as a stress reliever to get away from life's BS, or to simply have FUN. :)

Cheers, PGI <S>

PGI, i like this game, however all these specials are to much related to MCs...

Compared to WoT you seem like begging all time for our money instead of working to build up more fascination to MWO and the franchise.
So when I give you some money i get a chance of additionally winning sth like AC5? #
I dislike all the you don't know what you will get stuff.

I wish PGI put as much effort, or at least visible effort, into making the game better as they do trying to make money grabs.... I mean come on...they break something with every patch, fix hardly anything in a timely fashion and crank out $20 mech packs every few weeks.....Oh...then screw them up and "Tweak" them soon as the money stops pouring in so the "NOOBS" don't get their feelings hurt....

I don't expect it to be free, but my gosh, One could go buy a $79 game and a $9.99 monthly subscription and have ten times the game.....So why does PGI feel the need to try and sell me $50 of crap every month??????? I try to be supportive, but I would expect a FLAWLESS game for that kind of money and this one is FAR from it.... it's utterly pathetic and just drives people away.... Like me for over a year and a half......back two months and it's already a load of crap again......

I have to agree, PGI is seeking to extract more money from existing players (driving some away, even crazy-hardcore ones) instead of trying hard to attract more players, keeping them happy and getting more money that way (the right way)..

I bought the $100 pack.

It takes about 30 seconds to refresh after spinning which is annoying because you get time to think about what a junk prize you just won. Pretty much all I got was weapons.

I bought the pack because I need more mechbays and I expect (hope) clan heroes start coming out at soon.

After this experience if I get supply crates in the future I'll just sell them regardless of what is in them.

While it looks like "SH!T" it is still 200.000 c-bills for 25 MC which, hands down, beats every c-bills bundle by a mile or two.

True, this is essentialy the Mechbay sale that people have been whining for since the dawn of MWO and people are still finding reasons to complain about it!

That is because most people are POS.

that's why Pay to Win games stay in Beta for their entire run. It allows them to skirt laws about stuff like that. Because they are still 'testing' they don't have to fix things as quickly and efficiently. It's not the final product.

Those bundles are horrible value for money at any rate.. who buys those?
Besides, look at it this way: you just paid 25MC for about 1 match worth of Cbill reward.. paying 25MC per match seems horrible to me value-wise..

(I know that's not how math works, but it's still how it feels for me)

It happens; but a few hours can get a contact with support to award you said bonuses.
Not much can be done for the few days guy.

I usually say to wait until the US's Friday afternoon/evening before making any purchases as that's when sales usually turn up.
But, this came up on a Tuesday. :(
