...are more 20 and 25 ton mechs.

Yes there are lots of other things which I won't get into but I know you're already grinding at the teeth and cracking your knuckles over.

But in addition to all those things you'll find written below by dozens to hundreds of people is... there's only two 20 ton mechs in the entire game and only two 25 ton mechs. One of each per side!

Where's the rest?
I found a list of over 20 of these mechs, many with as many as 7 variants within the current timeline!
Then there's also variants we're currently missing, like a Commando with an AC/2! O_O! Big gun Commando! Anyone? Anyone??!

We have two 100 ton mechs per side for a total of four.
We have a total of FIVE 35 ton mechs on the Inner Sphere alone!

Where's our second 20 tonner per faction? Where's our second 25 tonner per faction?
Whatever happened to the little guy?
And don't tell me "OMG, MASC!" Adjust engine limit on the Flea with it.
Don't tell me "Not worth it," there's a shitload of people that run Locusts and maybe a few dozen Lynxs.

At the rate you're churning out mechpacks, surely you can squeeze some of these in, especially since the you hired the guy who took it upon himself to have already made the Flea!

o.o;
So yeah.
20-25 tonners?

The only one of them that would be good without turboquirks is probably the Locust IIC.

MAYBE the Raptor on the IS side, which would have its issues but at least it would beat the Commando (because pretty much everything does).

Most of the rest would just be filler mechs that go extinct pretty quickly. Posted Image

This game severely lacks Quadrupeds.

No arguing that.

There They were pretty damn good before the world of quirks.
Maybe that's a clue.

I rest my case on quirks. PGI lied when saying they would use quirks to encourage the use of fewer hardpoints over more; they keep quirking the many and not the few in terms of hardpoints.

Was hoping to find you; the search mechanic is off. Had an issue with the Scorpion; supposedly the art is "Unseen". Can you show me the difference of the same variant, pre-and-post Reseen? Will help a lot in remodeling them.

Not really. Commandos were trash both before and after quirks. Locusts were unusable until they got megaquirked, but then they got nerfed recently. Posted Image

Many mechs just have innate design issues like hitboxes, hardpoint location, low engine caps, etc. that drag them down. The light class in particular has a lot of poorly designed mechs that have glaringly huge weaknesses.

I have long wanted the Brigand. Although it would require ER-Med lasers.

The same way the Warhammers, Marauders and the rest of the Unseen/Reseen were done, they didn't change the original artworks, but implemented new variants with the Reseen artwork.
But seeing how most Scorpion mech variants are quite similar to one another (keeping the weapons in the same locations for the most part, and mostly changing PPCs to ERPPCs or Heavy PPCs), one can presume that the "Reseen" original variants would look pretty much the same as the actual Reseen variants.
So basically this is the Unseen:

The Reseen:

I do think that the Scorpion is one of the few of the original Unseen mechs that weren't completely butchered by the "Reseen" treatment and still managed to keep a lot of the original design charm.

I think the Warhammer IIC came out okay too, from being reseen...

Reseen:

That's a reseen Warhammer IIC-4, oddly enough also my variant of choice for the IIC...

The third image's missile launcher appears to shoot sideways out of the barrel to the left.

Also there was a version of the Scorpion's art that had the cockpit mounted front and center which is why I asked.

That's actually not the missile launcher (that variant is equipped with an LRM-10, which lies horizontally behind the cockpit, at least the tube-count matches the stats 3/3/4=10, the LRM is also equipped on the LEFT torso as opposed to the usual RIGHT torso, so it does match the artwork nicely)

For the other point, i think you're talking about this one:

"Scorpion II" which i'm pretty sure isn't official. It's for a Fan-made technical readout (as far as i know)

Are we talking about the tubes on the side of the barrel on the right torso? Or the domes on the rear left?
I'm talking about the tubes on the barrel of the right torso.

The missiles are on the "rear left"
The tubes on the barrel is probably just some artistic choice for vents or maybe some sort of cooling sleeve, like some weapons have to help disperse heat.
It's supposed to be a 10 ton Heavy PPC.

+1 to more lights.

And since you mentioned a lack of representation at certain weight brackets, there's only one 95 tonner per side & there's only one more assault in game currently than there are lights.

There is only one 20t mech. The IS locust. Clans do not have a 20t mech.

I could live with Raptor:

Just because it looks cool. Sadly it will lose those unique twin MG barrels and missile pods (because of lazor vomit).
