To be fair, very little have changed on the Lights front since the last time Lights had a tourney (in terms of facing vs Streaks), so it's unlikely anything negative will happen to them (because, some people still suck with lock-on weaponry for some strange reason).

I'm going to farm the **** out of lights.

Streaks and some Cermls or spls. It's like it's raining cbills.

Seriously if you're playing an assault or heavy don't follow the lights. It doesn't ******* work.

Streaks? Screw those dumb things. Just get a nova with 12 small lasers and zap them. Got a double kill on two fresh li- ..er.. mediums.. I guess they were mediums.. well, two fresh mediums in 1-2 seconds were both dead from fresh.

And nothing wants a small laser nova in their face except a brawling 100 ton assault mech.

I saw maybe 3 streakboat yesterday and that count an adder... The player base has transformed into PGI "this and that will happen!!" but nothing ever happen.

I've only played 7 games in my commando so far but have yet to be killed by streaks (one time I got both arms blown off by streaks from behind so that might count).

What I notice is that when an enemy streak carrying mech is identified (often SCR or MDD) then they are focused down pretty quick!

Streaks aren't so bad.

1) Don't get seen

2) remain near cover to quickly break LoS in case you are seen

3) If you have failed at both 1 and 2 and are fairly close to the streak boat, RUSH PAST IT. The fastest way to break LoS is to get behind them. Now if they have 360 degree targeting you're in trouble but most folks don't bring that (some dedicated streak boats do though) and frankly it's faster to rush to cover behind them than to turn and retreat.

In my experience this means eating 1 salvo instead of 2 and can keep you alive.

But those that boat streaks will be less effective against heavies/assaults, thus the trade off.

Lights may tremble at clan streaks, but just run to your bigger guys and you'll be good.

Hopefully they add in the filler weapons to mediate stuff...we're pushing the timeline/mech variants enough that even without adding new ones, adding in the filler weapons for IS to their Clan counterparts would go a long way in further solving outlying problems with weapons balance in the game from my perspective.

LBX20's are hilariously effective against Light mechs too, and many of the pilots haven't figured that one out yet to boot, so they come in thinking there is an easy kill

Just bring and ECM light with weaponry to hit out past 450 meters. My MLX with a single ERPPC has been hosing Skill Crows.

I threw a troll build together that ended up stupid effective.

TBR S, 4xssrm6, 4x cerml, 4 tons of ammo, bap, TC, rest dhs.

I averaged 562 damage and just shy of 3 kills.

28 pts of precision laser damage, 48 of streak damage. Extremely cool running. Hunt the lights and mediums first, let's your team focus on enemy heavies and assualts.

The best part of events is ruining it for everyone else.

I've been smashing lights with my loyalty centurion. Most lights can't dodge an AC 20 and some SRMs.

The funny thing is last night I had four maches with 12-1 with me being the only death on my team. Sometimes youjust get bored with everyone thinking they are snipers so you just gotta mix it up.

Was hilarious earlier when 3 streakboats peeled after me when I was enjoying nature in tourmaline desert with my bromando. They followed me for a half of the map while taking fire from my team before they died.

If you're going to add that mechanic, then TAG should be able to laser guide locking missiles into a target/component.

Raising the skill floor and ceiling at the same time should be fair, no?
