Tier 5...big mouth...not in top 75 on event leaderboard. Man, if I was in Tier 5, it'd be easy as pie to be top 5 on the Jenner board.

It proves they know more than us and that the game is fine as is.

Serious question: If you're in T5, are you only playing against other T5?

Stone__Wall, I apologize like I said I would. Seems your are active and playing and I wish you good luck in the Tier grind.

Your forum profile is Stone_Wall with stats as previously posted. I'm curious, is this your posting account and Stone__Wall is you playing account? I know spaces are certainly counted in profile/game names. Mine is maxed.

I am boggled how you are still T5. But your stats tell the most of story. More losses than wins and low match scores. If you want out of T5 (as most of your posts imply), perhaps playing MWO like it is MW3 is not working for you.

FYI your not the only one with nostalgic ties to the Microsoft MW days. Though, that experience is meaningless in MWO.

Hey I appreciate that. I think all the 0's I received from my old adapter crapping out has put me in a hole. I do see this is way more a team game. In MW3 one Mech could own a game but it was always TDM and 4 vs 4 was the max.

It shows in game I have 2 spaces. didn't realize until it was shown to me.

It prooves you can lead the Locust Board for the event, and bag 1k MC . Check the Stats for the PlayerName currently leading Locust board....actually, #2 and #3 on the Locust board look Strange to me, too....too little Games for such Stellar performance imho .

So in other words, it prooves people are lame .

What I read is, the MM is supposed to match you up with T3 max when you are in T5 . But there seems to be much debate whether its working correctly, or working at all, or so...

I'd love to have a choice, believe me. I don't think these tiers even existed the last time I played.

Well, I did stop playing somewhen Dec. 2012 iirc, then came back something like 2 months ago, and I am def. sure Tiers were not there when I stopped .

I do not think it will be hard for you to climb to at least T3 if you keep playing. I took my sweet time, mostly because I was an Idiot ( had forgotten too many of the specifics of MW:O ) and played totally wrong . Soon I got my Head out of my behind, I started advancing healthily .

How are you liking the Game now, as compared to what it was when you stpooed playing ?

No where have I said I'm exceptional or the best Light Pilot. I'm just showing my experience in PUG matches as a MW Vet. I'm trying to convince new people and people who migrated from other games that Light Mechs are powerful, but you have to play them right. Don't get the message twisted. I'm not trying to dethrone people from being the best Light pilots. I'm just giving weight to one side of the Lights argument.

When I get home today, I will sign out and search for my stats. I know people can't locate me, so I have a support ticket in with PGI to see what's up.

The tier system is a bad joke. Even in the supposed top tiers people make horrible mistakes. However, T5 is like another world. Calling us top tiers out and telling us that lights are fine while being in T5 is...hubris.

Look...what I did just some minutes ago in one of the weakest Wolfhound variants in top tier.

Again, why do I post that? I don't do that because I want to stroke my epeen but I want to make you the following points clear so that you see that it comes from someone which is not in the potato tier and plays a lot lights:

1. As I already said above: T5 is potato tier. Most pilots are more busy controlling their mechs than doing anything else. T3 would be a different matter because you meet now and then the really good shots

2. screenshots are a proving nothing. Before that I had a streak of terrible games

3. Lights are hardcountered by streaks. In the upper tiers I see in every match at least 1-2 Skill Crows or Skill Cats (errr streaks). Which means even someone who has problems with lights just equips this stuff and can harvest a whole mech class

4. Maps as light counters. Most of my maps have been Polar or Alpine. The bane of non-sniper lights. What a fun!

5. The numbers of this event are a joke in itself. Why? Simply because the top dogs, the heavies are played much less during the even. In a "normal" environment lights are too fragile.

6. The agility of heavies and assaults is still too much. Even with a Wolfie-1 it is a pain to stay out of the firing arc of a Kodiak for a meaningful time.

T3 and below light mechs are fun to battle. Especially novice lights. I had an ach with all smalls just stand and shoot my jenner while I torso twisted and blew off both of the ach's legs. Ran the trial ach and it was super easy mode compared to my jenner and locust.

I think the best part about this event is the fact that I'm seeing all types of the "rare" lights being used such as the adr,non 3l ravens and even a panther or two. Too bad once the event is over light q will probably go back to being just 3ls and achs.

I've been using this as an opportunity to grind my Wolfhounds. Apparently Wolfhounds are rare enough that I first got onto the leaderboard this morning with a score of 300 or so. The scores are getting higher but it doesn't look like the unpopular mechs have enough players to have very competitive boards in general.

Light angst reaches new levels after resize, now there is magically a Light Mech focused Tournament... Coincidence? I think not.

As I said before: the metrics are skewed, though. Usually there is an abundance of heavies and much more dps/higher alphas flying around than during this event

Oh I'm definitely not of the impression the data PGI gathers will be even remotely accurate or useful, but they're still going to make decisions and changes based on it... Strap on your chaps, insert the ballgag and break open that case of KY - Winter is coming.

I don't blame you guys. I didn't even know I had a double spaced name. This is probably because I made the account 4 years ago.
