The most "valuable" thing I've ever gotten from a supply cache was an IS XL300... Since I don't use IS XL's.. was a nice payday.. over 1,4 million cbills I think..

Other than that.. just "coal items" a.k.a. least valuable cbill item in the cash..

Several hundred MC, several million C-bills and once a 6 million!! C-bill module. Plus lots of autocannons for some reason, usually ultra. They sell well.

Yes.

They way I open I stack the deck as it were so I am not disappointed.

For me to open the box must have X amount of orange so the odds are in my favor - as much as they can be. If the worse item there is not something I can use, cbills, gxp, keys, etc, I sell it.

If there is only one item there I want and the rest is junk it is dumb to open.

Never got a mech but have won 5 modules, 3 cockpit items, 1 mech bay, and half a dozen keys, and lots of cbills.

Opening them that way, for me, has been nothing but good and will continue to open that way.

I've opened about 50 and gotten three modules, a mechbay and a big XL as well as a few cockpit items and a warhorn. I may have had good luck but I open them if there are 2-3 things I'd like, sell them if not.

I got a mechbay a couple months back (forgot which event that was giving out keys - I have never bought keys with MC).

It's really not great. Being a sucker I bought another 10 keys cause the game just keeps giving me those damn caches.

3 mech bays, numerous engines (XL and Standard), few cockpit items (including one warhorn), maybe 2 weeks worth of premium time, millions and millions of c-bills in sellable weapons for the cost of about 60 opened.

1500 mc in keys spent;

3 mech bays = 900mc
Warhorn = 750 mc
Premium time = 1500mc

Other cockpit items, like the lucky cat, I never would have payed for so they are just fluff and dont affect value. However with just the premium time alone, I got my mc worth, in effect getting me 3 free mechbays and a warhorn.

Plus quite a few "3 cache keys" or "50mc" rewards which I just counted as free opens, not included in this cost analysis. In reality I've opened nearly 100 caches, just 40 or so being free-ish.

I in no way feel cheated, I got stuff I would have otherwise payed MC for, plus millions of c-bills (easily a couple mech's worth).

Technically you're right, but I have to admit, part of the fun of caches (and loot bags) is getting stuff I'd never pay for but kindof enjoy having.

(For me the PT has no value since I have a year and a half's worth I'll never get through at the rate I continue to accumulate it)

I got a bunch of keys somehow. Don't even remember where I got them from. I only have opened something with a rare I want in it. So far I have opened about 4 and picked up the Pug standing item. I probably won't buy another key after the 6 or so remaining keys are gone.

Only reason to open one is if you got a lot of free keys from events. Never spend real money on keys. The best thing I got so far is a srm 6 and I have those stockpiled like mad from mix builds. I think hero mechs are the best buy for real money. Life time of 30% extra cbills per match when using the hero.

Not me. Not ever. Opened probably 20-30 and I don't think anything I won was worth more than 250k C-bills and quite a few even less. Even if 7 out of 8 of the things in the supply cache were something I wanted, I always got the one thing I didn't. I would never speed real money on them but I do enjoy opening them when I get free keys....however it seems they quit giving them away so now it is sell, sell, sell.
