So it's almost 7 am in the morning and I have been up got the past hour playing MWO. My normal morning routine before work. And usually I get some good matches in the morning. Recently I bought a Highlander IIC B variant and have been working with that along with my ever so faithful EBJ-A. That's my baby. Anyways

I don't know what the problem is but every match so far has been so horrible on my part. I'm talking like im playing horrible. I'm in the wrong spots at the wrong time. I'm getting wrecked by the enemy. I'm pulling lame damage. I'm getting slammed hard this morning. And yeah I mean everyday I will have some matches that go sour. But not like this. I don't know if it's because I'm piloting a new super sluggish slow assault and I'm not used to change. Or what. It's horrible and it's throwing me off.

So last match I got slammed by every Lrm and PPc in a matter of minutes. Wrong place wrong time. And I literally had my first rage quit. It happend so fast. I blacked out and started jamming my fingers into the keyboard only to mutter something like "So messed up. This is all BS I tell ya. This game is rigged RIGGED I TELL YA. Screw everyone!!".

Then disconnected. I sat there ashamed for a few minutes. Feeling like every other jerk who rage quits. It's like a sickness. A fever of some sorts. A contagious flu that spreads through the MWO community and into our hearts.

Anyways. Well time for another match before work. Stay classy pilots.

it's not going to get better no matter what others say. Gameplay has gone steadily downhill. The final decline has begun so make the best of it I guess.

I get up make coffee make lunch i **** shower n shave get dressed and ride a motorcycle to work at 4am in the dark n freezing cold every morning....

Shouldn't i be the one raging ?

Highlander IIC isn't one of the best assault mechs and with the Light mech event going on right now there are less assaults and heavies running around in the matches, so if you are in an assault you'll be more likely to be focused, especially by LRM boats.

Aside from that we all have bad periods. A night or two ago I just repeatedly had terrible map choices every single drop for about 10 drops before I stopped playing. I don't like Caustic, Terra Therma, alpine, or bog much, but those were usually the only choices each drop, didn't see a favorite map of mine once. Had some bad teams and bad matches half the time but did decently the other half at least, so not a completely terrible day.

You need a heated suit. One of my buddies rides near year round in Maine and he has to be one of the toughest SOBs I know. I actually had to pick him up last winter because the snow was too deep to continue. Got a URAL with two wheel drive. Super cool in so many ways.

Yeh I got the Highlander IIC because I have never really been an Assault Pilot before. Especially not one that goes 48 Kph. I'm used to heavy clan mechs that go around 80 Kph. But Highlander IIC looks so cool and is my favorite assault. I'll probably jump back in my Ebon Jag for the rest of the weekend. Yoir right I forgot about the event tournament going on. Assaults are just outnumbered this time.

It happens to all of us. Even I sometimes get frustrated to such an extent that I log off. Cool down and then log back in. (a bit like the heat mechanic,...) It actually is a healthy thing to do. Logging off in frustration stops you from projecting your rage on other players. You log back on fresh and happy and restart enjoying yourself.

Exactly the kind of shutdown requirement I was talking about,... What the hell are you talking about??? I lost 2 games yesterday in which I happily typed GG afterwards. So good were the fights. Awesome fights occur often enough and bad stomps are present in every game of this kind. Learn to accept reality.

lol.. happens with this game. with other shooters, you still have a chance for a comeback when your team is losing. as you can still 1 shot 1 kill the enemies. in MWO once you are a few mates down, you are basically screwed.

previously was in a bad streak (6 or more games) which force me to just quit and play another game. yet even while sleeping i was thinking of the losing streak.

What about the many players who do not want to play with re-spawns, as the game was sold to us so long ago?

Oh, there are plenty of threads on that subject and it musn't nor will it happen.

If you want respawns, play community warfare (or faction play or whatever it is called these days)

I didn't even know there was an event, i been using medium and assault mostly cent and zuse but iv been getting these strange injections after matches....

Is it something to do with that ?

Yup.

Basically if you want good matches wait until the event is over. Hell... every event is like this but when you get tons of inexperienced folks playing lights... you're gonna have a bad time.

Although... I could bust out my light hunting jenner IIC-C...
