The only thing that bothers me about Bishop's design is the double barrel dorsal gun.. Do you really need to change the design that much?

Personally I prefer Shimmering Sword's design (picture above this post) the most, but I suppose I could accept Bishop's if it was tweaked a little.

Really though, as long as we get the Marauder..

to me I dont see it as a double barrel, looks like a recoil spring to me. if it was double barreled though, that would be really cool.

Then it wouldn't be the marauder would it?

Really dude? I.... dont have an adequate facepalm for this....

i honestly wish everyone could have everything they ever wanted...

i personally like all the above designs in whatever name they should appear...

We can all hope that this game is successful enough and profitable enough that the DEVS can eventually buy the rights and integrate the designs down the line.

same goes for having :

servers all over the world in all languages,
3rd perspective servers and cockpit views servers
clan tech, sphere tech and mixtech servers
all/ any mech design intergrated

Love/ hate/ love MekTek.net

sorry if i offended anyone and everyone

I wish you all the gaming experience you desire

my 2 cents,
Peace

Happy? And if you want it chunkier, just feed it a lot of twinkies, so it can look like the fat Kardashian girl.

The Shimmering Sword one. The guy is a majorly talented artist, but that take on the Marauder is just too thick and clumsy. A Clan MAD-IIC or a 100 ton MAD-2 I could see, but it really has none of the feel of the original MAD-3r

How did the Mad Cat even avoid issue if it's still based on the old design? Or the fact that it looked more like a Catapult with arms allow it to exist?

Which is why I think basing a redesign off the Mad Cat would be better. Or Catapult with arms instead of missile pods, a heavier variant based on PPCs and an artillery turret than missiles.

Still say Bishop's is the best looking Marauder I've ever seen.

There's a reason the Mad Cat has that name. Pilot rumors have it that the identification protocol kept flipping between Catapult and Marauder.

As for the OP's question: No.

i think its not a rumor. i recall that a novel describes a battle where that happened to a kell hound's pilot

Would this be to close to the unseen Marauder. take the body of the Catapult, use the arms of the Cataphract, but flip the weapons mounts for the ppc and laser, and use the AC from same Cataphract, but have it mounted to the right side torso, your thoughts

I like your design bishop... but i think it need some sort of cover for the shoulder joint, it looks way to exposed the way it sits now. Otoh i wales felt the arms of a Mad should be it's real weak spot. they look like they can hold about 1-2 tons of armor at tops.

Apart from that i am indifferent to it making it in-game or not. It was Fasa´s mistake to try and cut corners to begin with.

me i just figured the double barreled one was like the old WWII 40mm anti-aircraft guns that u see in the old films and it was like his take on a UAC-5.
nice pic i like them all i do like Shimmering Sword's design as well i think either one would work real well... i also hope they can find a way to bring back all the unseen/reseen to the game and a good job on the mech bishop

Think I've stated already in another thread with this pick. I'd happily take this as my Marauder!

Harmony Gold and the Macross series... they're just upset that they aren't a big deal here in the States!

I'd happily take it as a Marauder IIKK (as in Khloe Kardashian =P) but just cannot in any way reconcile it with the MAD-3R. Also in the second POV, it looks far too much like a puffy version of the original, and might not pass legal scrutiny. But it's mostly due to the POV making the offset cannon look like its central, and that the weapon pods are dead on from the original.

Well, at least you got the basic idea, and for those who don't comprehend how they work, I present *drumroll*
the Gryasez-Shipunov, GSh-233 Autocannon.....
