Funny Way to advertise a unit, I know.

Someone mentioned Wazan today and just got me thinking.

Hour upon hour of sleepless nights fighting for this fictitious planet on the border of Marik and Davion space.

Posted Image

It was hotly contested and held by some crack units.

Those were the days of generator rushes and ghost drops.

Those were the days of friendships formed through the heat of fire in the beta release of Community Warfare.

I place this here to remind people that the Seraphim Regiment was there and we are still in business.

I place this here because if you search the MWO forums, you will find no mention of Wazan. No mention of the battle that the game's producers admitted they sat and watched with rapt attention.

How soon those sacrifices were forgotten.

I place these here because, after only four years, it would be horrible to let these memories fall into the dustbin of history.

Wazan ... Never Forget ...

Welcome to Drauga97 and Brhinoceros, the newest Seraphim MechWarriors! It's also great to welcome waltonpopz back into the ranks of the Seraphim.

At the moment, we are trying to bolster the ranks of our companies to full strength once again.

Who are we looking for?

-- Young and old ... the Seraphim does not have age requirements as our voice channels are safe for all ages and we regularly run matches with our sons and daughters.

-- casual to committed level players ... we do not field "comp" teams and players never have to try out or prove themselves in the Seraphim just to have a place to belong.

-- group queue and faction warfare players as well ... we understand that there are players who just want to join up with teammates in the Group Queue and blow things up. We have plenty of wingmen on every night during NA peak hours to give you someone to run 'Mechs with.

There is a resurgent desire in the Seraphim just now to go back into Faction Warfare ... that is where we have a shortage of players. If you would like to get in on the ground floor and re-learn Faction Play with us, then come in and join us. We would love to have you with us.

-- players of good moral character who want a place to belong ... one of the calling cards of the Seraphim is that players never have to mute their speakers when they drop with us. We police our voice server (Discord) to insure that there is no profanity or crude language used in our channels.

If this sounds like the kind of unit you are looking for, drop by and submit an application at www.srph.online.

Alex...

Wazan I and II will always be in my signature line. Glorious times indeed. Somebody calculated that over 12,000 Marik and Davion mechs were altogether destroyed in those mighty battles.

I am returning to play but only on weekends. I can't play weekdays I work until midnight EST.
Once I move in June I will come back full time.
To be honest I was disheartened with the state of our "purpose" in this game.
It felt like events like Wazan or staying up until 6am PST to stop a ghost jump planet loss were just something we wasted time on that was all for naught. In the grand scheme of the game it means nothing yes but the camaraderie and respect formed by players was what made dragging into work the next day worth it. It seemed like we all (game wide)had lost that somewhere. I am glad we found it. :D

PS: The wifey says if I don't buy her and I the Solaris mech pack and teach her I'm gonna have to sleep outside, so when you Solaris jocks get beat by a woman just smile please :) #Keeper ;)

A Change of Venue...

March 24th

Posted Image

Multiple reports came in regarding a disturbing change that has taken place in the Zion Province.

Calls flooded the administrative offices on Asuncion yesterday morning as anxious citizens noticed that the sun appeared brighter than normal. Pedestrians stopped in the middle of the street and schools held recess to witness the strange phenomenon.

Many feared it was an unnatural solar event. Others said it may be an omen of things to come.

Later in the day, Sergeant Kjudoon, chief liaison officer of the Seraphim Regiment, contacted local officials and explained the event. He reported that the regiment had moved their yardship SYS New Asuncion eastward into Davion space.

A new sense of fear began to grip the planet as residents realized the protective covering of the Angels of Asuncion was gone.

"When will they be back?" one reporter asked at a press conference held at the Seraphim Regiment base later that same day.

"It's kinda hard to tell at the moment," Sgt. Kjudoon replied. "I'm not at liberty to share why the colonel is moving the unit to Davion space except to say that it is part of a short-term mission that comes to us straight from the LCCC and the Dieudonne Military District. It is a Davion contract taken under Marik's advisement."

"Yes, I get that," the reporter asked, "but when will they be back?"

"I'm sorry, ma'am. That information is classified."

This response elicited more murmurs from the crowd.

"Rest assured, though the presence of the yardship is gone there is still a sizeable Seraphim presence on the planet. The Seraphim always leave a large garrison force behind, not only to protect our dependents but also honor our permanent contracts with Atreus to defend the 'Mech and component industries located here on Asuncion. That contract is in its sixth year now. It's been long enough that Asuncion is home to us."

His answer silenced the murmurs and the conversation shifted from questions of fear to inquiries about the Seraphim families and how the move was affecting those left behind.

When the press conference concluded, Kjudoon left the platform and exhaled slowly as he looked up at the ceiling of the Meeting Hall.

I certainly hope you know what you're doing this time, Colonel, he thought as he dropped his head and made his way to the door.

The times they are a'changing.

We are moving most of our business away from our website to our Discord server.

If you would like to drop with the Seraphim and get to see what we are about, feel free to follow this link to Docking Bay 2.

Very likely :)

Keen to hear how the adventures have been Colonel! Last I remember, the whole Clan invasion had started and the Seraphim was fighting for Marik... but that was years ago

Seraphim is still accepting applications. At this time, we are fighting for Marik (not that it matters as much when all matches are IS vs CLAN).

The Pacific Rim company is still kicking too (Seraphim's late-night crew) and looking for more recruits.

I had a guy tell me yesterday, "You mean you guys are still around?"

Why, yes. Yes, we are.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Founder's challenge and look forward to warming up the old myomers on the Invasion challenge this weekend.

Looking for a good, clean-commed group to run with?

We are still no profanity after all these years.

You can join us in the guest channels of our Discord server at: https://discord.gg/NvCswRf

We would love to meet you. Come in and sit a spell. If you would like to join up, read the #Code_of_Honor channel and, if it looks like your kind of group, drop us a note in the #enlist_here channel. We will send a unit invite from there.

No long application. Just an "I agree" and you are in.

Wait are you waiting for?

Dropships are standing by...

Looking for more members.
