You could probably lower pricing over the board as 45$ for dwf-w(c) and mechbay is just ridicilous, not to mention 37$ for regular dwf or champion tbr

Even original 55$ for 3 mechs offered better deal than this...

You can purchase another one im pretty sure, I have the option to buy an MC Spirit Bear though i own one from the initial pack sale.

I think there is neither a physical nor an economical reason not to beeing able to buy virtual goods. Why would they care if you have x number of the same mech, especially if bought with mc?

You can only acquire one for $15, while the only limit on how many you buy for MC, is your wallet.

I suppose if you have a surplus of MC and you don't want to inject new money into the game then you could buy Kodiaks for MC...? Still a big waste of MC if you consider the dollar value though compared to just buying a pack.

I guess there must be enough stupid people out there who make really bad purchase decisions or else companies (read: it's not just PGI that does this) wouldn't pull this kind of crap.

well to be fair, some people have tons of MC on their accounts, either give away's, or bonuses from buying something or what ever.. With nothing else to spend it on for some, a over priced mech might be worth it. To others not so much.


But honestly this new price model when it hit, i knew this would become an issue when the big boys came. I really don't know why they didnt add some sort of size scaling.. just to go along with their normal price model.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing older packs get a sale, or reduction in price.. Just might tempt me to buy some

The only mechs that have ever come with mech bays are those that have been given by the game(loyalty or prize) or bought as part of a package. You can buy every mech in the game, except loyaly mechs, with mc. What makes hero mechs so special that should come with a mech bay where the others do not?

What makes them special is that they are only available for purchase with the premium currency. This means that the Hero Mechs will generate more financial income per transaction than a Mech that is available for CBills. Since the effort to create a hero Mech is distributed across the effort to make the chassis, in general, the sales of Hero Mechs generate excessive profit compared to the sale of normal Mechs

As we know that the purchase or normal mechs still requires premium currency [to buy the extra Mech bays], and it's apparent that a Hero Mech is pulling in more than several mechbay's worth of funds per purchase, so this indicates that it is worth more than the sale of just "a Mech."

It should come with a bay to coincide with the high cash cost and the fact that it carries multiple Mechs' worth of sale value.

I'm one of the fools that bought it on release at full price. I have played nearly 1000 matches in the Boar's Head though so that's like, what, 4 cents a game (assuming $40/1000)?
