Hi all,
Been struggling a bit to find a build that works well on the Griffin 1S. Have settled on an XL320 with 4 MLs and 2 SRM6s but still finding it a lot harder to do well than the other 2 Griffins I have.
Anyone got any inspiring builds they'd like to share?

I believe I was goofing off with something like this when I was leveling mine -
GRF-1S 2x LRM10, 4xML
Yeah, not the greatest thing ever, but the arm mounted 4xML is great for getting into a brawl along with the agility of the Griffin. You should be able to scare off or outright kill light mechs and it's a decent enough punch that you shouldn't be afraid of getting in close, especially if you got off some decent LRM shots early in the match.

I used a STD Engine in mine and used it like Jumpy CN9-AH, 4X ML, A SRM 4 and a SRM 6 (the original Champ build)
I had allot of fun with mine while mastering it but haven't touched it in a while, it lost that shinny torso turn rate quirk during the re-balancing that gave you awesome reflexes in brawl without a XL.
If you keep the Brawler Build, use it as a ambush mech, stick to hit and run attacks or flanker when teaming up with bigger mechs. If you on the same team as a Griffin 2N, become friends before the drop so you can double team other mechs

For leveling purposes, this would function pretty well.

They aren't creative but they'll get the job done.
MLas + SRM6s

LPL + MLas + SRM4s

Don't neglect maneuverability in a Griffin. Jump over things, ambush, hit and fade.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It turns out that the 1S is definitely one of those mechs that improves massively when you unlocks skills.
Took onboard the build and playstyle comments and actually started to get some half decent results - a couple of 500 ish damage matches, majority over the 250 mark at least - so not spectacular by serviceable.
Poking with the 4 mls actually works pretty well but the key thing I have learnt is you have to choose the right time to get in close and use the SRMs. Too early in the game and you are toast. You have to wait until the assaults are engaged and then you can nip in and cause some havoc!
Still not a good as the 3M or 2N but not quite as terribad as I thought.
Cheers for the help.

3/5 Griffins are very strong. The 1S is one of the other two (and worse than the 1N too).
