I really like the burnt metal look on the Marauder IIc hero mech! Its a shame it is not possible to buy that "camo" for other mechs. If we could get a camo with a similar idea/theme(burns, scratches, patina/rust, battle-worn in some way, etc.) my non-hero mechs would really appreciate it.

I've been playing Battletech/Mechwarrior for almost 25 years... never knew mech armor was plated in titanium.

Yep, both the special camo patterns look great, IMO. The scorched metal one looks fabulous, and the 1980's themed white, teal and purple metallic paint for the Collector's edition looks amazing.

I would never, ever spend money on this mech. But I really envy the current whales who will have those paintjobs.

I have zero interest in the MAD-IIC......

But agree that if they translate Scorch's paintjob faithfully, it's gonna look HAWT. (And I know Lauren has the skills to do it)

And...it's the one variant of the chassis that I like the hardpoints on. (Plus, scorch is a kinda cool name..... though one would think ...flamers?)

you and me both. I haven't really been in a position to buy anything since...alpha lance. All the stuff since I got thru contests.... and giveaways. If I do get the MADIIC the same way, I probably will scrape together the 15$ just for Scorch. But that'd be post release to make sure I even remotely like how the mech plays, first.

I do wish they let us have new paint schemes mostly the burnt metal look, just want the burnt metal look on my Timberwolves and Orion IIC, once I get my money back from a friend I'll throw in the basic and a hero.

I can't say I like it much, but it does show the varying shades of heat discolouration, while tempering steel.

Now I liked the linebackers digital white and blue look, so much I *cough* pre ordered it.

The irony of Scorch... the paintjob and name denotes exposure to high levels of heat, but the hardpoints of Scorch are heavy on ballistics and missiles. The name/paintjob and hardpoints don't go together. This would have made a lot more sense on an energy-heavy variant. Hell, had they just used the energy hardpoints in the CT/ST shown in the pic and put flamers in there, it might have made some sense.

Scorch is likely to be one of the coolest-running variants of the MAD IIC.

Well energy boats hate the Scorch because it uses mostly ballistics and missiles. They are like "dang you no use lazors! burn heretic!" Scorchs pilot are like... thanks for the new paintjob!
