Uh... I don't remember passing that picture out to people. That's from a private conversation.

Yeah well it's been on these forums for a while don't know who don't really care. It's funny that he says all I do it spam threads about it and that was the most recent thing he could find and it was from our private not so private convo. I sure as hell didn't share it.

I do think you did post it to the forums though... I think I saw that thread and just shrugged it off. Anything I say in private I'm not afraid to say in these forums. Though I would be moderated way more often.... :P

I probably took it to share with the NS guys for a small laugh. One of them must have shared it.

Axman sadly...never gonna happen. Or any form of melee. Which is a shame, because it also rules them out for HBS's Battletech. Unless they start adding their own Mech Model assets (they have Loose helping with vehicles.... I would love a literal 3D translation of his Hatchetman.......)

What? I'm sorry. What isn't HBS going to have?

Melee combat isn't a modeling question. The models can already move like that. Hell I rember a few years ago someone had a dragon doing a dance routine in a video he put together.

I think its at least the thought that HBS is going to start with mechs that PGI has already modeled to save some time. I am sure this will enable them to make their own mechs at the same time. So its a win, win. I think he is assuming that if MWO doesnt have it, then HBS wont have them in their game. Which i dont think is going to be the case.

However their game launches in 2017, and PGI will have 8 new mechs by then. All the guys at HBS have to do is sit back and let PGI do most of the work, at least with the mechs already made

Keep in mind though that none of the clan mechs count toward that number (for now).

Nah you should be safe they just ban me these days. It's easier to ban one guy than the 6 or more reporting and fighting with him. You know the minimally viable mod approach and it's why I don't care anymore if it's fair moderation or not. Basically the TOS reads as this. Mods and volunteer mods can ban you for anything they want. Case and point I responded to the attack so I violated the TOS. I could put a analogy there that definitely would get me banned but I'll censor it. I get attacked because I wear revealing clothing I should just lie there and take it then go to the authorities. It's like to robbers who get thrown off balconies that sue the people at the residence they were breaking into.

It does not make sense therefore... this image

To advocate on the mods' behalf, often both sides of an intense, personal argument receive disciplinary action. They just don't tell the participating parties about it.

You know when the action is taken by seeing who is posting and who is not, especially when someone has over 40k posts...

Well, yes, that's what I was referring to.

The [REDACTED] prevents the [REDACTED] from talking openly about [REDACTED].

The world is a safe place without confrontation.

When Bishop and I got each other [REDACTED] recently, I had a long talk with the some of the staff. Some agreed that the [REDACTED] needs revisioning, but they made it clear that it's there to provide a positive (as possible for these forums anyway) environment where nobody is being singled out and made to feel unwelcome.

I don't think this is a foolish goal. It's a bit naive considering the internet, but it has good intentions.

Regardless, after some initial required sarcasm, I waited my sentence out and then sought out Bishop and apologised. We reached an understanding and I don't think we've fought much since.

The difference here is that the offending parties put the time and effort into working things out and being adults about it. The mods can't make everyone do that. The original point of the image I made was that the modding of the forum is a constant. You cannot change this.

All the dissatisfaction you have with the moderating team only has one variable you can affect: you.

HBS said in the promo video of the pre Alpha that they actually have melee in
But it was still too buggy and deactivated it in the pre alpha

Well the damage has been done. I do not feel welcome in the forums not because of some of the community (that is normal) but the mis-steps of the actions taken. Now I just wait for another +1 next to my inbox confirming what I'm used to just for standing my ground. Because that falls under the subjective rule of "disruptive" even if I didn't start it.

Try telling a police officer who pulled you over for speeding that you're not at fault because others were doing it first.

I have lol Posted Image one claimed I was speeding and he goes do you know why I pulled you over? I'm like no! Why? He goes do you know how fast you were going? I was like no I was going with traffic. Of course i still got a ticket but to this day I think he was a crap cop. Why? Because I was literally driving with the pack. I could see if I was speeding and weaving between traffic and putting people in danger but I assure you I was not.

Oh and to stop me he literally walked out in front of my car... I'm like 101 how to get killed for being an idiot. He was sitting in bushes with a laser gun. I should have just ran him over but I would have felt bad.
