Epic Assaults Are Epic

I like piloting assaults and have a number of them already; most are mastered as well. I currently have Atlas, Banshee, King Crab, Kodiak, Mauler and Zeus. I have been hoarding Cbills lately, so this sale comes in handy.
Of the assault mechs I don't have, which one's would make a good purchase and why do you feel so?
Thx for your responses.

MX-90 is a given, what should be No. 3?

I have the 1P, the 1R and the MX90. The 1P has 2x AC5 and 2x AC10. The 1R has 4x LBX10. The MX90 has 4x AC5 and 2x AC2. I love my Maulers. DakkaDakkaDakka...

This guy gets it. I hope he's wrong, but I'd be surprised if he was.

I guess ballistic assaults will be ok, but energy based assaults will have the same firepower as a Jenner.

I read it as them wanting a cash infusion, so they offer incentives to purchase MC in the form of bonus content for MC purchases and then adding 'Mechs to be purchased with MC for those who don't have accounts overflowing with C-bills. They already did sales for the other weight classes not too long ago.

It's a lot more frequent than I'm used to. I'd rather have +MC bonuses instead of supply caches. Maybe the fear of the 50% Mechbay sale is weighing on some accountant's head.

That would be "Do you want to buy a mech pack"

Battlemaster, its variants are sort of bland, but it is probably the second best assault currently, if you like laser vomit that is...otherwise Stalker, which is for the most part, another laser vomit mech.

the 8v you can make into a easy-to-use-awesome. which is unheard of, cause awesomes are quirky and a bit odd.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...69b6b7787d64151
this is a build where you vomit lasers on the enemy and then give them the Coup de grâce with the srms shoulder. no ghost heat on this build so it avoids some of the heat problems of other awesomes.
works like a charm. it has 2erll but don't go full sniper on it. and don't try to go brawls 1v1 with this either. it's the only reliable jack of all trades mech in the game that i can guarantee 100% but you have to soften em up with lasers first and finish em off with missiles while twisting your torso.
(oh and this won't be nerfed either cause the main gun is 2erll + lpl. for 29 dmg and you can follow it up with the medlas for 5)
and the awesome 8r, if you don't like it with srms, you can turn it into a lurmboat and it plays very differently - so you won't be wasting your money with this purchase
another awesome that is flexible is the 9m as you can run it with ERPPC or LPL, but also you get to choose if you are bringing a big xl or a smaller standard and using the torso hardpoints to the max, so you can be a "zombie" which is useful too if you can spread the damage to live to the end game with your torso as stick.
(but the 9m is more difficult to play also - 8r you can use autoaim weaps and 8v you can have a build that has powerful laservomit + srms)
[awesome is not likely to be nerfed much at all due to most the builds using 30 base damage as the main gun,
it will even be a buff for the 9m with 3xerppc and crippling ghost heat. under the new system the stock awesomes will be able to fire]

Stalker.
and... Stalker
If you like assaults it's the one IS assault that PGI can't screw up with quirks. Unless they try REALLY hard.
