Wishful thinking, but I wish flamers would heat up and soften armor, granting machine guns a percentage of armor penatration- so a portion of the damage would bypass armor and hit directly to structure.

Uhm whaaa?
I wish my lasers would nuke enemies from orbit so I can auto win the game before my dropship lands onto the planet!

They already have synergy. Flamers heat you up after a time, and that's when MGs, which have no heat, will be your main DPS.

I mean, they have perfect synergy in the fact that they're both Hitscan constant fire lasers
One has a CoF, the other is the hottest weapon on the game
